Battle and Creatures Under the Night
"What's wrong? Hmm?" Kara noticed Robet's unusual behavior and followed Robet gaze. Kara possessed powerful X-Ray Vision and naturally saw the anomaly Robet had discovered. This made Kara frown instantly. "Not only are supernatural events a form of danger, but such events are also quite dangerous!"
Where Robet and Kara could see, a group of gang members with somewhat ferocious Shang-Chi and a violent aura were hiding in a corner of the park's woods. It was getting late, and there were only three groups of people in the entire park: Robet and Kara's group, the group of these ferocious-looking men, and the last group was a family of four having a family dinner.
Therefore, theoretically, these actions that appear to be those of gang members should be unseen by anyone. However, Robet and Kara are not ordinary people, and sometimes, accidents happen...
In the woods, two people were bound and kneeling on the ground, their bodies trembling. Their mouths were gagged and their eyes were covered, and they could only hear the faint sound of the wind around them.
However, under such circumstances, such rumors became especially terrifying, particularly since they vaguely guessed what they would experience next. This unease of knowing what was going to happen but not yet witnessing it was undoubtedly torture for the two of them!
Of course, this was the original intention of the group of people around them: to torture the two men both physically and mentally, and then kill them, in order to deter any gang members who might have ulterior motives. In other words, this was called upholding the gang rules!
"The time has come. It's time to send them on their way, isn't it?" Just as the two kneeling on the ground were suffering physically and mentally, a cold voice rang out, causing them to tremble violently. Their bodies shook uncontrollably, and one of them even had liquid flowing continuously from between his legs, soaking not only his own pants but also the pants of the person kneeling next to him.
"Tsk tsk tsk, is that all the guts you have? If that's all the guts you have, why did you dare to betray the gang before?" A mocking voice rang out from the side, clearly having noticed the liquid on the ground, as a fishy, pungent smell was already rising.
"Waaah!" Upon hearing this mocking voice, the two people kneeling on the ground hurriedly shook their heads, making whimpering sounds as if they wanted to say something.
"No need for explanations. What you did is already very clear!" A cold voice interrupted the two men, and at the same time, two dark pistols were placed behind their heads, the cold muzzles making their bodies tremble once again.
"Puff!"
"Puff!"
The silenced pistol didn't make much noise under the cover of night, but the man in the family of four who were having dinner suddenly changed his expression, especially since only three of the family members were there, and their son had just gone to the toilet because he needed to urinate.
"These two deserve to die?" Kara looked at Robet with some doubt. Kara originally thought that Robet might save the two men from death after seeing those gang members, but Robet showed no intention of taking action at all.
"Leaving aside those two, every single one of these guys still reeks of blood! Your eyes can see things that ordinary people can't, but you can't sense the existence of specific energy, and you don't have the ability to probe with your Mind Stone, so it's normal that you can't find them..." Robet slowly shook his head and said softly.
"Moreover, these guys not only reek of blood, but more importantly, they carry a lingering, eerie aura—a kind of supernatural power—indicating they've recently been in contact with extraordinary individuals..."
"Extraordinary people..." Kara's eyes flickered slightly after hearing Robet's words. Clearly, Kara was thinking of the extraordinary people from the Official Agencies she had fought with before, especially the powerful Blue Marvel.
Kara hadn't expected that there were so many extraordinary individuals in the world. After all, in all the extraordinary events before, Kara hadn't seen many extraordinary people take action, especially truly powerful ones.
But Kara now vaguely realizes that not all extraordinary individuals will step forward when faced with extraordinary events, which is different from what the Avengers had previously thought.
Johnny Storm and others previously believed that even if they didn't become superheroes, if extraordinary events happened to occur within their area, it would still affect them and force them to participate in these events.
Therefore, instead of passively accepting the occurrence of these extraordinary events, it is better to take the initiative and improve one's own strength in order to better deal with them.
Now, when Robet brings up the topic of extraordinary individuals again, Kara realizes that there are many more who truly and completely conceal their identities, and even better at it than they are...
"However, these people can at least be saved..." Just as Kara's thoughts were drifting, Robet spoke up again. It turned out that a conflict had broken out on the other side.
The son of the family of four ran into the woods to relieve himself and happened to hear gunshots. Driven by his curiosity, the child looked in the direction of the sound and saw two people lying in pools of blood, with several burly men coldly staring at the corpses on the ground.
"Ah!" The boy couldn't help but exclaim, then quickly covered his mouth, but it was too late. The gang members heard the boy's voice, their expressions changed drastically, and they reacted swiftly, surrounding the source of the sound, preparing to kill the boy.
"Damn it!" The man rushing towards them also changed his expression. He cursed under his breath, not scolding his son, but regretting that he hadn't brought any weapons this time. How could a man of America like an Amerika go out without a gun? How could he possibly carry out his American-style Western-style rendezvous? How could he protect his family?
"Come out! I've seen you!" On the other side, the boy cleverly hid in a clump of bushes, transforming into Voldemort, not daring to move for a long time. The shouting voices echoed in his ears, making his body tremble continuously, just like the two people kneeling on the ground before. But the boy dared not make a sound, because he already knew the meaning of death. By hiding like this, he could live a little longer. If he really made a sound or came out, he would be doomed.
"No, we have to find a way to grab a gun, otherwise we won't have any chance!" The man who had rushed over heard the sounds echoing around him. His face twitched, and he began to survey his surroundings. As a Marine Corps, the man had a wealth of combat experience, but even the most skilled cook can't cook without ingredients. No matter how experienced he was, he wasn't confident he could deal with so many gang members without a gun, especially with his family nearby.
With a loud "bang!", the man quickly seized an opportunity. He spotted a lone gang member, his eyes lighting up. Like a venomous snake leaping from the darkness, he knocked the gang member to the ground, killing him instantly and even snatching the gun from his hand.
"Oh? Not bad! Your fighting skills are pretty good too!" Robet was already prepared to make a move, after all, those gangsters deserved to die, but these two kids were definitely innocent, and since he saw them, he might as well lend a hand.
Robet hadn't expected this man to be so skilled; he didn't have a single unnecessary move, and in terms of combat technique, he was almost on par with Super Soldier like Steve.
"Bang!"
"Bang!"
"Bang!"
As night deepened and the surrounding light sources dwindled, gunshots rang out in the darkness. Bullets, like Bleach knells, claimed the lives of gang members one after another. Even under these circumstances, the man did not waste a single bullet.
"I initially thought it would be a disaster for this family, but I didn't expect this guy to be such a good shot and so skilled..." Kara muttered to herself, looking in the man's direction with some surprise. As time went on, the man had almost wiped out the gang members, with the only remaining gang member hiding behind a tree, and the two sides were locked in a stalemate.
"Damn it! Where did this guy come from? Just like I killed those two to silence them, someone wants to kill me to silence me? That shouldn't be the case. I should still have some value. They wouldn't kill me so soon..." The surviving gang member gritted his teeth, panic rising within him. He was the one who carried out the execution, and now he wondered if he had also encountered the executioner.
"Who could it be? I don't know which side to help, but given the situation, I don't seem to have any other choice..."
"Who are you? We can talk this over..." the gang member shouted as he moved, trying to distract the man while he pulled out his bullets, and at the same time trying to call for help.
However, the man did not fire his gun at this moment, because he only had one bullet left. Due to the sudden start of the battle, he did not even have a chance to flip over the body to grab a pistol. Especially now that the two sides were in a standoff, he had to be extremely cautious and could not afford to make a mistake in front of this last person.
"Dad..." Just as the man was confronting the gang members, the two of them were constantly moving back and forth near the cover. The man happened to come to the boy's side, and the boy recognized his father and called out softly.
"Bang!"
"Bang!"
Upon hearing the boy's voice, the man's expression changed drastically. He quickly grabbed the boy and pulled him to his side, while simultaneously firing shots in the direction of the gang members to suppress them. The two shots rang out almost at the same time and missed their targets almost simultaneously.
Fortunately, the boy wasn't hit by the gang members' bullets. The more troublesome part is that the man is now out of bullets. He might be able to hold out a little longer while the other side is unaware of the situation, but once they realize this, it will be very difficult for both him and the boy to survive...
"Climb up the tree and stay put. No matter what happens, don't make a sound, understand?" The man took a deep breath, lifted the boy above his head, whispered his instructions, and helped the boy climb the tree. He then rolled over and rolled behind another tree.
"Bang!"
Another gunshot rang out under the cover of night. The gang member wasn't in a hurry now, after all, he had successfully called for help from both sides. As long as one side sent someone to distract the man, he would have a chance to escape.
"He's out of bullets, shouldn't we make a move?" Kara glanced in the man's direction, then looked at Robet with some doubt and asked in a low voice.
"Two different supernatural powers are approaching. One of them is somewhat similar to Luke's... Werewolf? But this Werewolf's aura seems much stronger than Luke's. Wasn't Luke supposed to be the leader of their Werewolf lineage?" Robet didn't look in the man's direction, but instead gazed into the night, muttering softly, "So, the other aura is Vampire? It's different from Morbius's, after all, their powers aren't fundamentally the same..."
"Luke? Who's that?" Kara asked, a look of confusion crossing her eyes, after hearing Robet's words.
"Oh, Clary's stepfather, I guess that's how it should be counted?" Robet thought for a moment and gave a reply.
"Hmph!" Robet had barely finished speaking when Kara snorted coldly, causing Robet to look over with a blank expression. What greeted Robet was Kara's finger giving his arm a playful pinch, making Robet even more confused.
Robet didn't even understand why Kara suddenly attacked him. Was there something wrong with the Werewolf Luke, or with the Vampire?
Just as Robet was becoming somewhat bewildered, the Vampire and Werewolf Robet sensed had already arrived in the forest.
"Tsk tsk tsk, so your identity as a traitor has been exposed, or are you trying to be a double agent, playing a double agent game? You even notified more than just me when you asked for help?" Under the cover of night, the Vampire slowly descended from the sky, looking in the direction of the gang members and smiling faintly.
"I knew something was off about you. I even smelled a disgusting stench when I came, but I never expected you would actually betray me and get entangled with a Vampire?" Just then, the Werewolf's figure emerged from the woods and appeared directly opposite the Vampire, speaking coldly.
