Background / History

The Blood God Sect was one of the major cultivation sects of the Southern Border and a long-standing rival of the Golden Sun Sect and Purple Cloud Sect. Its reputation was sufficiently feared that the Flying Snow Sect Master invoked its name in a desperate attempt to deter the Golden Sun Sect 320.

Under True Person Xue He, the sect spent more than thirty years secretly constructing formations in spiritually rich lands throughout the Southern Border, including enormous arrays near the mountain gates of the Golden Sun Sect and Purple Cloud Sect. The operation was completed despite the difficulty of placing the enemy-territory formations without discovery 354.

The sect initially delayed its response after the Golden Sun Sect and Purple Cloud Sect captured nearly ten percent of its territory. After Xue He reprimanded the Sect Master, the Blood God Sect committed roughly sixty percent of its strength across eight counterattacking teams, producing a five-year stalemate 322 323.

The sect later let its younger generation determine the war's direction. Xue Li, its First True Disciple, dominated opposing disciples and pushed the front line forward, defeating Golden Sun Sect's former First True Disciple Gao Taichu 327 329 330.

True Person Xue He eventually launched a full-scale offensive: twelve teams struck the Golden Sun Sect and Purple Cloud Sect borders, with all ten Hall Masters deployed 358.

Ze'an Kingdom Rout

Blood God Sect forces nearly annihilated Water Moon Pavilion and pursued its survivors to the border of Ze'an Kingdom 361. Bi Changsheng's Golden Sun Sect force intervened, executing the pursuers and continuing to eliminate Blood God Sect units en route to Flowing Bright Tower 362.

The Blood Kill Hall Master led the defense from the blood-red palace but was killed after Bi Changsheng unleashed successive Three-Nine Heavenly Tribulations. Bi Changsheng then targeted the fleeing sect cultivators, destroying the palace and killing thousands 366 367.

Fall of the Blood God Sect

When Xue He and Yue Fang departed through the Cross-domain Teleportation Array, the sect's remaining leadership lost contact with them and ordered a retreat to preserve its strength 424 425.

With the Golden Sun Sect, Purple Cloud Sect, and four major South Sea powers advancing on its mountain gate, the Sect Master chose to remain behind with senior officials. Xue Li was ordered to lead selected talented disciples away to preserve the sect's legacy 426.

The mountain-guarding formation was breached by Bi Changsheng and allied Nascent Soul-level cultivators. The invading forces overwhelmed the defenders, killed the sect's high-ranking officials, and annihilated the Blood God Sect at its mountain gate 427 429.
