Geography and Cosmic Structure
- Regions: The world has five territories. Its Central Region once held more than half its essence and had denser spiritual energy than the other regions; Buzhou Mountain stands at the world's center 66 79 762.
- Buzhou Mountain: A Heavenly Pillar connected to a Heaven Realm after the world's reconstruction 1361.
- Netherworld Yin Realm: Born when the Netherworld World expanded and the Earth Dao emerged, it forms part of the world's cycle of reincarnation 446 461.
- Heavenly Dao: The world's Heavenly Dao responds instinctively to changes that benefit or harm it. It turned against Luo Qing after he severed a quarter of the Netherworld Origin Long River 640.
History
In its early era, the Primordial Wilderness was dangerous even for cultivators. Fierce Beasts born from World-Opening Malevolent Qi threatened its inhabitants, and Shen Ni's beast tides brought war to Buzhou Mountain and the Western Continent. The fighting destroyed the birthplaces of several Innate Gods 3 17 22.
The world later saw struggles among the Dragon, Phoenix, and Kirin clans, followed by conflict between the Witch and Demon clans. As Acquired populations grew, Innate Gods became rarer; later shifts between Innate and Acquired eras changed which beings could prosper on the main plane 46 248 433 470 762.
Luo Qing and his disciples undertook a plan to dredge the Primordial Wilderness's water veins. Their design linked surface waterways through two underground water layers, though local powers controlling mountains and rivers had reason to oppose changes to their territories 565 572 594.
A later transition toward ancient primordial conditions made the main plane increasingly hostile to Acquired Beings. The Human Race and other Acquired races sought refuge in affiliated worlds; violent primal energies and desolation killed some who remained 1291 1295 1302.
After a great tribulation, the Saints constructed a new Primordial World. Its vast barren land required immense energy to restore, and even three million years later, developed living oases covered less than one ten-thousandth of the Great Land 1357 1358 1362. The new world's calendar begins with its birth as Year One 1361.
