Structure and Boundaries

• World barrier — A boundary marked by a transition in energy and laws separates the Primordial World from the Chaos Sea. Its Heavenly Dao restraints, spiritual qi, living vitality, and karmic connections recede as one crosses into Chaos 130 202.
• East Sea and Guixu — The East Sea contains Golden Ao Island and the Dragon Palace. A disturbance detected in the world's origin layer came from the direction of Guixu, described as the place where all things return to stillness 41 161.
• Netherworld and Sea of Blood — The Nine Netherworld contains the Six Paths Reincarnation Disk and the Netherworld Sea of Blood. Reincarnation is treated as a foundation of the Great Desolation, while the Sea of Blood is tied to its purification and balance 194 210 168.
• Earth veins — Damage to earth veins is among the world's lingering wounds after successive tribulations. Zhen Yuanzi uses the Earth Book and a network of Earth Immortals and local spirits to monitor and reinforce them 136 154 213.
• Stars — Stellar power helps maintain the world barrier, regulate spiritual energy, and stabilize the elements. Zhen Yuanzi warns that widespread stellar pollution could weaken those functions and ease an invasion 138.

Response to the Demonic Tribulation

• A disturbance near Guixu produces a faint but perceptible restlessness across the world. Tongtian senses what appears to be instinctive fear arising from its essence, while the System detects a fluctuation in its origin layer resembling Otherworld fragments 41.
• As a vast shadow approaches through Chaos, the world's Origin resonates with the Chaos Bead and sends Tongtian a warning described as a mournful cry 57.
• Tongtian identifies demonic activity in the mortal world as infiltration rather than an isolated incident. He warns that the loss of Netherworld Reincarnation would shake the Great Desolation's foundation 72 75.
• Defenders respond on multiple fronts: Zhen Yuanzi reinforces earth veins, Houtu strengthens Reincarnation's defenses, and forces across the world mobilize against the approaching threat 57 154 213.
• A massive rift later opens in the Northern Continent, releasing Demonic Qi. The major factions form the Great Desolation Allied Army and establish the Northern Darkness Demon Suppressing Pass as a defensive line 174.

Distinction from the Primordial Realm

• The Primordial Realm is a separate world created by Tongtian in the Chaos Void. It is shaped by his Primordial Dao and is subtly separated from the Primordial World's Heavenly Dao 47 54.
• Tongtian intends the new realm to serve as his own foundation against Saints and future tribulations; it is not another name for the Primordial World 47 54.
