Background

During the Investiture of the Gods conflict, Yun Xiao and her sisters formed the Nine Bends Yellow River Formation to avenge Zhao Gongming. Venerable Lord of Primordial Beginning personally killed the Three Sanxiao; Qiongxiao and Bixiao's souls were scattered, while Yun Xiao was suppressed beneath Kirin Cliff by the Taiji Diagram's golden bridge and a projection of the Heaven and Earth Mysterious Yellow Exquisite Pagoda. 1 12

Tongtian infiltrated Kirin Cliff with Saint Mother Wudang and Kui Niu. Using the Chaos Bead to disrupt the pagoda projection for a fraction of a moment, he extracted Yun Xiao's nearly dissipated origin and escaped Venerable Lord of Primordial Beginning's Saint's Will. 12

Her origin was scattered and her True Spirit tarnished beyond conventional recovery. Tongtian rebuilt her body with Chaos Origin, a remnant of the Chaos Green Lotus, Three Lights Divine Water, Nine Heavens Breathing Soil, and other divine materials. He also destroyed a hidden strand of Jade Pure Immortal Light placed in her origin to erase her permanently. 13

Upon awakening, Yun Xiao learned that Qiongxiao had been sealed in the Nine Nether Weak Water inside Cihang Daoren's Pure Glazed Bottle, while Bixiao had been refined into the artifact spirit of Manjushri's Dragon Subduing Stake. The revelation deepened her hatred of Venerable Lord of Primordial Beginning and strengthened her resolve to recover her sisters. 13
