The Chaos Bead is a fragment of the Chaos Green Lotus's lotus seedpod, a Chaos Supreme Treasure of a quality Tongtian considers superior to even the Four Swords of Zhu Xian on a fundamental level 5. Its relationship with the Chaos Green Lotus is later confirmed by its spirit, Yuan Chu, who calls the lotus “Mother” 145.

Tongtian receives the first clue to its location after abolishing his Saint Position. Guided by the System, he infiltrates the Netherworld Sea of Blood, reaches an unstable spatial rift near the Reincarnation Disk, and claims the fragment while pursued by the Blood God Son clone and Old Ancestor Minghe's forces 1 4 5.

After partially refining it, Tongtian makes the bead the foundation of his Primordial Dao.
