It's hard to bring it up.
Ian really finds it hard to speak up.
He was afraid that some things that were easily misunderstood would actually be misunderstood.
People will always have prejudices.
Although the young Wizard enjoyed digging up other people's ancestral graves and blowing up every corner of the school in the Time Loop, he knew that he had reasons for doing these things, and those reasons were very valid.
Although he liked to keep some little creatures that sounded rather evil, and had a smattering of knowledge about the Three Unforgivable Curses, he also knew that he was still a handsome and kind-hearted Wizard.
"Um, actually, the little guys I raise might be a bit eccentric, and it's not really appropriate to tell others." Ian's words sounded rather guilty and hesitant.
"My child, there are no strange creatures in the world, only narrow-minded people and their narrow-minded views," Newt Scamander replied quite earnestly.
He clearly misunderstood Ian's meaning, thinking that Ian was referring to the personality of Fantastic Beasts.
"Forehead..."
Ian didn't know how to answer.
"We need to know what kind of living space your friends need, right?" Newt Scamander encouraged Ian, and there was some truth to it.
"I'd like a slightly darker environment, a bit cooler, and a smaller pool is fine too. Hmm, I like keeping some cold-blooded animals... they don't like to drink water." Ian, quick-witted, chose to downplay his needs by describing the environment he required for the [ Ian's Suitcase ].
Newt Scamander, however, was unaware that something was amiss.
"Such an extreme environment is not conducive to your future expansion of your backyard. I can design various environments for you; it just takes more time."
"At my age, the least valuable thing is time. You can find seedlings for many plants at my place, and I should be able to make them for you by the time you come to school next year."
"Having a comprehensive environment will make it easier for you to introduce other little ones with different habits later on. When I was young, I suffered terribly because I didn't consider this."
Newt Scamander pondered for a moment and then offered his advice.
He had considered everything very carefully and comprehensively, but he didn't suspect what Ian was raising. Perhaps it was because of his own fondness for secretly raising forbidden creatures, so he thought he could completely understand the little Wizard's hesitant expressions and was somewhat reminded of his own past.
People, you know.
This is always the case in old age.
"Uh-huh."
The young Wizard naturally had no reason to refuse. He bowed slightly to express his gratitude and asked curiously, "Will you come to Hogwarts again next year?"
To be honest, Ian felt that Newt Scamander's visit to Hogwarts this time was definitely not just to deliver something to Nick LeMay. After all, why would someone bring their whole family, including their sister-in-law, just to deliver something?
Judging from Newt Scamander's previous behavior with the other two elderly women, perhaps Newt Scamander's visit to Nick LeMay this time was related to Queenie's husband's passing.
A wife who misses her husband terribly wishes she could go back in time to see him one last time, and if possible, apologize to him for their past argument.
Ian felt his judgment was mostly correct; after all, old lady Queenie had many flaws in her character. He just thought Nick LeMay and Dumbledore would likely not approve of such a risky and time-disrupting act.
certainly.
Albus... After all, Dumbledore is doing the same thing now, to the point where he's practically omnipresent in Hogwarts, like Schrödinger.
Given this situation, Dumbledore probably Albus been able to offer any advice, which is why Ian suggested using a non-existent "psychic ability" to help Queenie resolve her inner conflict.
"Yes, I'll be back at Hogwarts next year... if all goes well." Newt Scamander smiled subtly, his eyes slightly unfocused.
It's hard to imagine seeing such youthful behavior in an elderly person.
"Do you have any favorite Fantastic Beasts? Some of Newt's friends need to be cared for by more energetic people... He's really getting too old, and those troublesome guys are really exhausting him."
At this moment, Tina suddenly spoke up and patted the suitcase she was carrying, clearly wanting to relieve her husband of the heavy workload of caring for Fantastic Beasts.
certainly.
Tina also felt that the handsome young Wizard in front of her must be someone who knew how to cherish friendship with Fantastic Beasts. After all, they had only given him some not-so-precious materials, and he had reciprocated with so many rare and precious items. From this, Tina felt that she roughly understood what kind of person Ian was.
"I'm only eighty years old... not old at all!" Newt Scamander immediately reacted strongly. It wasn't that he was stingy, but rather that he had a deep affection for the Fantastic Beasts in his suitcase.
If it weren't for the fact that he simply couldn't continue caring for them, or that those Fantastic Beasts truly needed to be released back into the wild, Newt Scamander would still think about his friends at home even when he went out for breakfast.
This is why Newt Scamander's suitcase was expanded to such a large size.
"Little guy, you have to make friends with the Fantastic Beasts you like, right?" Newt Scamander, not wanting to give up the Fantastic Beasts in his suitcase, was also trying to pull Ian onto his side.
"That's absolutely right, no doubt about it." Ian felt that in his current situation, it would be difficult to raise any Fantastic Beasts. His Dementor alone was enough to make most Fantastic Beasts live in constant fear, let alone the Black-Robed Skeleton, which had a strong sense of oppression over all Fantastic Beasts except Unicorn.
It would be quite an achievement to be able to understand these two guys completely.
"How can you be so stingy? That little Wizard is much more generous than you." Tina rolled her eyes at her husband, her somewhat complaining tone making Newt Scamander quite embarrassed.
He probably felt that what his wife said was indeed correct, so after hesitating for a moment, he turned to the little Wizard and tentatively asked him a question.
"I have an injured Thunderbird chick here. Its family died in an illegal hunting operation by poachers. Once it recovers, you might be able to help me raise it."
"Of course, that's assuming you're willing too." Newt Scamander's suggestion took Ian somewhat by surprise; the old man actually did have a Thunderbird in his trunk.
Although it was an injured Thunderbird chick, it was still an extremely dangerous and Fantastic Beasts, belonging to the super-large birds that generally only live in North America.
Some scholars believe that the Thunderbird and the Phoenix are closely related, but this view is not widely accepted. The Thunderbird possesses a powerful magical bloodline that allows it to control lightning while flying.
Ordinary Wizard would find it almost impossible to defeat.
Most countries prohibit the illegal importation of this bird, but Ian felt that for Newt Scamander, Ministry of Magic bans were probably less binding than Hogwarts School Rules.
"Oh, this is wonderful!" The look of surprise on Ian's face was not a fake act; he genuinely felt surprised and delighted.
That's Thunderbird!
Thunderbirds are rare Fantastic Beasts whose tail feathers can be used as wand cores. Wands made from Thunderbird tail feathers are difficult to wield, but they usually possess immense power, making them suitable for Transfiguration. Because Thunderbird are extremely sensitive to supernatural dangers, wands made from their feathers are said to be able to preemptively fire spells.
certainly.
Ian didn't care about the characteristics of a wand made from Thunderbird tail feathers; he was only interested in how to make a wand that was both high-quality and inexpensive, driving down the price of wands.
"Next semester, you'll meet that little boy with your suitcase..." Newt Scamander smiled, sensing Ian's genuine joy.
" Dumbledore said you're a violator of School Rules, and I suppose you're no less prone to breaking the rules by taking care of a Level 4X Fantastic Beasts. Just be careful, you need to release the Thunderbird as soon as it grows up."
"Although Thunderbird don't possess the same level of aggression as 5X-rank Fantastic Beasts, any 4X-rank Fantastic Beasts is generally stronger than over 95% of Wizard."
"You definitely don't want to see how savage a Thunderbird in heat can be..." Newt Scamander said, his voice still carrying a hint of lingering fear.
What a coincidence!
Ian suddenly clapped his hands.
Do you think the same way I do?
Newt Scamander spoke with some excitement.
However.
The little Wizard's next words made his expression freeze instantly.
"I happen to be more powerful than over 95% of Wizard, so raising the Thunderbird won't be a problem for me." Ian's answer was, in his own opinion, already quite tactful.
"..."
"..."
"..."
However.
Whether it was Newt Scamander, his wife, or his sister-in-law, their expressions upon hearing Ian's answer were all somewhat interesting.
Newt Scamander felt a pang of regret. Looking at the little Wizard's eager expression, was he really hoping to fight the Thunderbird Thunderbird grew up?
"Really, Mr. Scamander, trust me, I can definitely raise the Thunderbird well." Ian, afraid that Newt Scamander would change his mind, immediately patted his chest and made a guarantee.
He wanted to take out a few books about Fantastic Beasts from his Money Bag to prove that he had a wealth of theoretical knowledge. However, when he opened the Money Bag, he only found three books in Money Bag series: " Fantastic Beasts in a Pot," "Fantastic Beasts in the Stomach," and " Fantastic Beasts Nutrition Guide."
"..."
Ian quickly closed his Money Bag, somewhat relieved that he had cast a spell on Money Bag so that only he could see what Money Bag inside.
To be honest...
It's really not his fault that he liked this series of books; they were just Christmas gifts he received. I don't know why those young Ravenclaw Wizard thought he liked these books.
"I'm exceptionally good at brewing Potions; the Thunderbird will definitely grow up very healthy." Ian offered his services in a different way, as he was indeed highly accomplished in Potions.
No.
We just mentioned getting Thunderbird.
The young Wizard had already figured out how to concoct Potions that wouldn't harm the Thunderbird's body, but would also make avian creatures shed and grow new feathers. Wasn't this a demonstration of his Potions- making skills?
"Of course I have no doubt about a Prince's talent in Potions." Newt Scamander seemed to hesitate again, and it was unclear whether his sixth sense as a "Druid" was truly strong.
Newt Scamander had a bad feeling about something, and his eyelids twitched uncontrollably.
"Actually, Iron Eater is fine too; I like keeping Iron Eater." Ian didn't see any record of this oriental beast in " Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them."
However, he discovered in other books about Fantastic Beasts that in the current world, the Iron Eater is actually classified as a Level 4X Fantastic Beasts.
" Iron Eater?"
Newt Scamander's expression grew even stranger, an awkward look that seemed to say, "Are you trying to make things difficult for me?"
"Haven't you seen it before?"
Ian pressed for more information, clearly curious.
"Of course I've seen it, I'm sure I've seen it. I remember, I went to China decades ago and even observed this Fantastic Beasts up close, which almost got classified as a Level 5X dangerous species."
Newt Scamander's eyes darted away again.
Just as Ian was thinking that Newt Scamander might be feeling guilty, the Master of Fantastic Beasts immediately launched into a long explanation of the common knowledge about Iron Eater to Ian.
" The Iron Eater Beast is born with a bewitching magic that makes people subconsciously ignore its danger, and it also possesses intelligence far exceeding that of most Fantastic Beasts."
"If it weren't for the fact that it generally doesn't attack humans or other creatures unless it's starving, I think it would be placed in the same danger tier as the Basilisk and the fire dragon."
"Of course, they will also show their absolute strength to any creature that provokes them. I once saw an adult Siberia tiger have its skull smashed by a single slap."
"Their fur grants them extremely high Magic Resistance, and in terms of strength, perhaps only the Chinese Fireball can rival them on that land."
It has to be said.
Newt Scamander seemed to have a very detailed understanding of the Iron Eater, and the bewitching magic he mentioned was something Ian, whose eyes widened in astonishment, had never heard of before.
He thought about it carefully.
Perhaps that's really the case.
However, Newt Scamander's somewhat guilty look puzzled him. Just as Ian was about to ask, Tina, who was beside him, explained the reason for Newt Scamander's guilty look.
"I knew you hadn't given up on the Iron Eater. If I hadn't gone there to protect you, you would have been sentenced to decades in prison for smuggling endangered species!"
"Trying to abduct endangered Fantastic Beasts that are highly valued by both Muggle and Wizarding World from the protected area—I still don't know what you were thinking back then!" Tina retorted with a hint of resentment, rolling her eyes as she recounted Newt Scamander's dark history.
Newt Scamander's face immediately turned bright red.
"I already told you they have bewitching magic! I was bewitched! And! They're really cunning! I was caught because they secretly reported me to Muggle and Wizard!" Newt Scamander's words were so absurd Ian even the two old Wizard didn't believe him.
"You mean, the Iron Eater, which can't speak or write, reported you without any communication devices?" Tina sneered, posing a probing question.
"That's right, that's exactly it. If you let me go back one more time, I'm sure I can figure out how they did it." Newt Scamander looked extremely unwilling.
"We don't have that much money to get you out right now! I've already paid bail for you in over sixty countries!" Tina glared at Newt Scamander.
"It's alright, I still have plenty of money here. I also want to see if the Iron Eater really has bewitching magic." Queenie seemed to enjoy watching the drama unfold.
She was clearly stirring up trouble for her sister and brother-in-law; perhaps all sisters-in-law are like that.
"Actually, it wasn't just the Iron Eater. Because I was captured that time, I also didn't understand why the Chinese Fireball active in the Yangtze River region were all so fat."
Newt Scamander had clearly been thinking about this for a long time.
"Absolutely not, you must not go."
Tina's attitude was unusually firm.
Newt Scamander could only let out a heavy sigh.
He turned to look at the little Wizard.
Seeing that Ian still looked suspicious, he spoke earnestly to the young Wizard, "Believe me, the Iron Eater is definitely smarter than most Wizard think."
"They've made themselves into a Class I protected species in the Muggle World, and an extremely endangered species in the Wizarding World. Now, they live a life of unparalleled comfort and indulgence, doing whatever they please."
"This is all a scheme by the Iron Eater..." Newt Scamander might really be getting senile, or he might have actually discovered some astonishing mystery about Fantastic Beasts.
It's hard to say, really hard to say, Ian just thinks it's difficult to assess.
"Forget it, let's talk about Thunderbird instead." Ian felt he couldn't be the culprit for Newt Scamander ending up in jail working on a sewing machine.
Newt Scamander may not need to work at his age, but he will still suffer from bland and watery food. Back in his hometown prison, money can't buy you a good meal.
"Alright, I'll leave Little Thunderbird in your care. I can feel your determination..." Newt Scamander also knew very well how to gracefully avoid marital arguments.
" Nick's office is over there, right? I think we'll have to talk about the details next time we meet; it's almost time for your curfew."
Newt Scamander glanced at the wall clock in the hall.
He actually thought Ian was the kind of little Wizard who would abide by curfew.
"If you want to see Professor LeMay Nick Flamel, you'd better hurry. He usually goes out around 10 o'clock; he especially likes to take a dump in the Forbidden Forest."
Ian clearly already had some understanding of Nick LeMay's biological habits.
"Forehead..."
Newt Scamander was completely at a loss for words. He knew that Nick LeMay had always had a rather eccentric personality, but this was the first time he had learned about Nick LeMay's toilet habits.
Who would observe this for no reason?
Looking forward to seeing you again.
The little Wizard waved his hand.
Seeing that the young Wizard had already begun to climb the stairs, Newt Scamander, along with his wife and sister-in-law, raised their hands and waved to Ian.
"Remember my suggestion, my psychic abilities are truly amazing." Ian reminded the old lady Queenie one last time before quickly climbing the stairs.
"How can I not be a kind-hearted white Wizard if I consider others so much?" Ian thought to himself and even believed it. His thoughts were not seen through by Queenie, a true born Legilimens —after all, Ian's greatest strength after practicing [ Petrificus Totalus ] and [ Spirit Evocation Charm ] was his mental defense.
He had put in a lot of hard work in this area, because the guys he encountered were all incredibly capable. Ever since Morgan, he had had a slight "persecution complex" about Legilimency.
"This is quite a special little fellow," Newt Scamander remarked, looking at the Time Sand in his hands and recalling his conversation with Ian.
"I actually find it quite frightening... Your school is a bit eerie; it always seems to produce some truly terrifying Wizard." Queenie's exclamation was absolutely genuine.
Of the three old Wizard present, she was the one with the deepest perception of Ian. His Mental Power, which seemed to be constantly watching their surroundings and even made her feel incredibly uneasy, was something she could hardly resist.
It was as if everyone's thoughts and emotions could only be read by the other person—over all these years, Queenie had never imagined that she would experience the kind of fear she used to feel when others were in front of her.
besides.
The Magic Power emanating from the young Wizard, who was still growing, was like a turbulent sea, seemingly calm on the surface but actually harboring terrifying power that could overturn rivers and seas.
For many years.
Queenie had only ever felt such immense Magic Power from Grindelwald and Dumbledore... and now, such Magic Power was appearing in a young, frightening Wizard.
How could Queenie not feel moved by this?
" Hogwarts really is a monster room, each generation more outrageous than the last." Tina didn't have the same sense as her sister, but that didn't stop her from understanding the expressions on her sister's face.
"This is my alma mater, after all, it's amazing." Newt Scamander was perhaps the only one with a carefree attitude; he led his wife and sister-in-law toward Nick LeMay's office.
Long time no see, my friends.
After the gate opened.
Nick LeMay spontaneously hugged Newt Scamander and the two elderly ladies. Given Flamel's playful nature, his hug of Newt Scamander was probably just a pretext to hug the elderly ladies as well.
His wife wasn't home.
That's how incredibly audacious they were.
"You seem to be adapting to life as a professor better than I thought?" Newt Scamander walked into the office and looked around at the decor with the two elderly ladies.
His gaze lingered on Great Clock.
"Is this Albus's Ancient Time-Turner?" Newt Scamander's knowledge base, within areas he wasn't interested in, wasn't much different from that of most dropouts.
"I knew you'd come to see me with your whole family; it wasn't just to deliver materials for the Undetectable Extension Charm." Nick LeMay stepped forward and covered Great Clock with a large white sheet.
"This is no Time-Turner Time-Turner; it's far more dangerous than that." Nick LeMay had clearly already begun repairing Great Clock. No wonder he was considered an unparalleled master in the field of Alchemy; he had made some progress in deciphering the High Tower Magic Text Ian had given him in a very short time.
"Mainly because you let it slip that Albus has that kind of Time-Turner, I just couldn't resist the urge to borrow it to observe and record some extinct Fantastic Beasts." Newt Scamander scratched his head somewhat embarrassedly, looking completely out of character for someone over eighty years old.
Some men do indeed possess a personality that remains youthful until death.
"I want... to see my husband one last time, just one more time..." Queenie began wiping away tears with a handkerchief as she stepped forward and voiced her request.
"Sigh~"
Nick LeMay sighed and looked at Tina, but Tina didn't make any request.
"I just came with them; it's no fun staying home alone." Tina shrugged and gave Nick LeMay a big smile.
"You're all being ridiculous. Time isn't something you can just touch. That's why the Ministry of Magic forbids anyone from possessing Time-Turner."
"You have your regrets, he has his dreams... If everyone acts recklessly, they're bound to cause an unmanageable disaster. We must learn to respect time and Destiny."
It wasn't that Nick LeMay didn't want to help his friend; rather, as Master Alchemist, he understood the drawbacks and hidden dangers of Time-Turner better than most people.
"I really won't try to change anything, believe me, I'll definitely remember all the rules of time travel." Queenie knew that Nick LeMay's reprimand was indeed correct.
However, the guilt and regret in her heart have tormented her for several months. Now she often has hallucinations and nightmares, dreaming that her husband died of anger because of an argument with her.
If she couldn't find out whether her husband had died of natural causes, Queenie felt she might never find peace and tranquility for the rest of her life.
"It's not a matter of whether you can remember it or not, the main problem is the Time-Turner... well, you all know, the Time Sand aren't something you can just find anywhere." Nick LeMay glanced at his office drawer, then prepared to use this well-known reason to politely decline Queenie and Newt Scamander's offer.
However.
Despite sharing the same Seer lineage as Grindelwald, just as Grindelwald sometimes faltered, Nick LeMay's wishful thinking clearly also encountered a major crisis.
"If you don't have enough Time Sand, I have plenty here. A little Wizard just gave me a big bag!" Queenie pulled out a small cloth bag filled with black sand as if she had grasped at a straw.
"??????"
Nick LeMay was completely stunned. Under his incredulous gaze, he saw Newt Scamander and Tina each pull out a small cloth bag containing black sand.
"OMG Fuck!"
The knowledgeable Master Alchemist's eyes nearly popped out of their sockets.
"That should solve the problem, right? We can cover our own expenses?" Newt Scamander Scamander's voice was full of anticipation.
His eyes were very bright.
Perhaps they felt they had seen a wonderful opportunity to meet ancient Fantastic Beasts.
"Just how much did that little monster dig up!" Nick LeMay certainly knew where all this black sand came from, but he just couldn't believe Ian had casually given away three huge bags of it.
Based on his understanding and opinion of that young Wizard, if he didn't have several dozen kilograms of the gift, that young Wizard definitely wouldn't be so generous in giving it away to everyone he met!
"You mean that little Wizard we just met, Mr. Ian Prince? He said he dug up a lot," Newt Scamander answered honestly.
"He actually gave you three whole packs? I doubt even the Department of Mysteries could gather that many Yuan Sha. I'm curious, did you guys praise him for being extremely handsome?"
Nick LeMay was clearly very confused as to why Ian would give the Time Sand to everyone he met.
All he could think of was that Ian was happy to be praised by Newt and the others, after all, Ian had given out a lot of candy and Chocolate to many little witches who praised his good looks.
And ever since then, he has called himself Triple Leonardo. Perhaps Wizard don't know what this title means, but Nick LeMay, who has done a lot of research on Muggle matters, does.
This year, " A Different Sky " was his favorite Muggle movie.
"Here's what happened: Newt found his Bowtruckle, so..." Tina began to recount how she and the others had encountered the young Wizard in the Great Hall of Hogwarts.
"That Bowtruckle didn't get lost, it ran away..." Nick LeMay slapped his forehead. He had thought he had done something good by saving an innocent Fantastic Beasts.
Who would have thought?
The Bowtruckle was returned to the world's most beloved expert on Fantastic Beasts.
If this gets out... it's truly a strange twist of Destiny.
"Huh? That little Wizard doesn't seem like the type to mistreat Fantastic Beasts, does he?" Tina was clearly stunned and incredulous after hearing Nick LeMay's words.
"Yes, he took very good care of the Bowtruckle. I can guarantee it hasn't been mistreated at all." Newt Scamander spoke with authority in his domain.
"Indeed, he's very generous with his feeding and loves Fantastic Beasts... but didn't you notice the Bowtruckle was filled with fear and anxiety?"
Nick LeMay sighed helplessly.
"Um?"
Newt Scamander frowned. "I did notice that, but when I found the little guy, it was trying to make its home under the Whomping Willow."
"I thought it had been rejected by the Whomping Willow, and was therefore terrified by the Whomping Willow's volatile temper," Newt Scamander recounted how he discovered the Bowtruckle.
"Hiss, this Bowtruckle has gone mad from his care; it's actually trying to make its home under that erratic, Whomping Willow." Nick LeMay felt that the Bowtruckle had been corrupted by the young Wizard's temperament.
His words only confused Newt Scamander more.
"I think he's perfectly normal. He's well-mannered, polite, and kind-hearted, and definitely not like Voldemort who's putting on an act. I can tell whether a person's enthusiasm is genuine or not."
"Don't forget, in my opinion, humans are also a kind of Fantastic Beasts." Newt Scamander's tone remained confident, and he was clearly very confident in his talent in this area.
"Yes, you're right, but that's precisely why... I said that little guy's way of thinking is different from ours." Nick LeMay gave Newt Scamander a deep look. He hesitated for a moment, but still didn't say the question, "How do you know that little Wizard is human?"
"I'm afraid you're being a bit prejudiced. I thought you always understood that there are no strange people in this world, only narrow-minded views and opinions."
This is probably the sentence Newt Scamander said most often in his life.
Just as he was about to launch into a long speech...
"He keeps Dementor."
A sudden remark from Nick LeMay.
This immediately silenced Newt Scamander.
"What? You just said Dementor, right? We didn't hear wrong, did we?" Tina and Queenie were also startled, their eyes widening even more than saucers.
"He also trained Dementor to brew Potions for him, acted as a tailor to make new clothes, and had a Phoenix with a chilling cry that would not eat precious herbs but only the souls of dark Wizard."
Nick LeMay added, "Oh, by the way, he recently dug up some kind of thing from someone's grave and secretly kept it in the Room of Requirement."
"That tomb is at least several thousand years old. What do you think they'll find inside?" Nick LeMay's words struck the three old men across from him more deeply than the last.
"..."
"..."
"..."
Newt Scamander, his wife, and his sister-in-law all had very interesting expressions. Newt Scamander, in particular, thought he had been quite modest by calling his pet Fantastic Beasts a little guy.
I never expected that.
I never expected this!
That seemingly harmless little Wizard was truly humble! He treated Dementor and ghosts like little creatures; now he understood why the little Wizard had a custom-made dark-colored suitcase!
So that's because they were raising some real monsters!
"I admit I spoke a little too loudly just now; it turns out I'm the narrow-minded one." Newt Scamander's awareness is truly remarkable.
However.
He still couldn't accept that anyone would keep those kinds of things! For a moment, Newt Scamander seemed to finally understand how others had viewed him in the past.
"You just said he was Time Sand that he dug up from a grave?" Suddenly, Tina seemed to have thought of something and abruptly asked Nick LeMay.
"Didn't he tell you? He dug up Merlin's grave." Nick LeMay seemed convinced that only Merlin's grave could yield so many incredible treasures one after another.
"!!!!"
"!!!!!"
"!!!!!!"
This time.
They were more than just three people completely bewildered.
His face was a mixture of shock and terror.
"He also said that he would establish the first family of gravediggers in the Wizarding World, starting with him and continuing for generations." Nick LeMay really didn't leave Ian with any of his secrets.
"Not good!"
Queenie's expression suddenly changed drastically as she listened.
"What's wrong with you?"
Newt Scamander's reaction time was noticeably slower.
"I have to go back and move my husband's grave!" Without another word, Queenie turned and ran, as if if she were a second slower on her way home, she would only see an empty grave and a scene of utter desolation.
What's wrong with her?
Nick LeMay looked at the two young men who remained in the office, puzzled.
"She herself revealed to Mr. Prince that she had buried many treasures with Jacob in his grave," Tina replied to Nick LeMay, a mix of amusement and exasperation.
"I think Mr. Prince's warning that graves might harbor things that shouldn't be there was perhaps referring to the fact that no one understood the nature of grave robbers better than him?"
Tina didn't doubt that Ian might find his way back to their hometown to dig up Queenie's husband's grave. Queenie was clearly blinded by concern and couldn't grasp some very simple truths.
We really should go dig.
Will they even remind you?
Wouldn't that be considered issuing a challenge and provoking a confrontation?
How could such a beautiful little Wizard be so wicked? There's nothing wrong with liking to keep strange and gloomy creatures; doesn't her own husband have the same strange hobbies?
"Oh, I see. It's alright for her to move the grave; better safe than sorry." Nick LeMay, however, didn't quite believe in Ian's integrity and self-control.
Would a normal Wizard dare to dig up Merlin's grave?
"You see, I warned her before not to put anything in the grave, and now it's come true." Newt Scamander's focus was clearly elsewhere.
That's not what you're saying.
Tina patted her husband's face, which was leaning in close, speechless.
"Actually, Queenie doesn't need to worry too much. I don't think our very generous little Wizard will be interested in your family's graves anytime soon."
Nick LeMay turned around and tidied his desk, putting away the High Tower Magic Text he had been studying into a drawer, and placing several tea sets on the table.
"Yes, if he really found Merlin's burial place, he wouldn't be interested in an ordinary person's grave," Newt Scamander rationally concluded.
only.
Nick LeMay, who was pouring them tea, shook his head.
"It's not for that reason, but because I just gave him a new address, and he's probably already preparing to take over Arthur Pendragon's burial place." Nick LeMay served the two men the tea he had prepared, only to find that their hands were trembling as they raised it.
"You..."
Newt Scamander was at a loss for words. Everyone knew Nick LeMay was a troublemaker, so he even began to suspect that Ian had been corrupted by this Master Alchemist in front of him.
Tina is the same.
How dare you!
Even if she were an United States.
The voice at this moment was filled with disbelief.
"Actually, I was just trying to verify a guess... not just wanting to collude with the little Wizard to stir up trouble." Nick LeMay smiled slightly.
Newt Scamander and Tina were immediately intrigued.
What guess?
"Don't try to fool us."
Newt Scamander was clearly somewhat skeptical of Nick LeMay's explanation.
"I actually found that tomb years ago, but I was unable to enter it because no magic could overcome the threshold required to enter."
"I think since Little Ian could enter Merlin's tomb, perhaps he could also enter King Arthur's tomb... This is just a hypothesis." Nick LeMay walked back to his table, shaking the tea bag and constantly lifting it into the teacup, his eyes reflecting the dark swirls of water inside.
What are the requirements?
Newt Scamander blew on the teacup he had picked up.
Nick LeMay remained silent for a moment.
"The qualification to bear its weight."
He gave a vague and ambiguous answer.
Just as Nick LeMay was talking with his old friend.
The Room of Requirement.
"Straight!"
"Straight!"
"Airplane!"
"Double Aces, you'll have a spring!"
Ian was grinning from ear to ear at a table he had cleared out. To his left Dementor, to his right Black-Robed Skeleton, and a young Wizard was instructing the two non-human creatures on how to play Fight the Landlord (a card game).
certainly.
He also gave this form of entertainment a very down-to-earth name.
[ The Witch King of Duels ]
He drew all the playing cards himself, replacing the Jokers with Grindelwald and Dumbledore, and depicting the four heads of the house on the J, Q, A, and K cards respectively.
The Four Founders with a different pattern, also wore clothes in different shades.
It truly represents a full-scale localization effort.
"Again! Again!"
Ian, who was winning big, immediately started reshuffling the cards with great enthusiasm.
"Six!"
Since Ian's hand wasn't as good as the last one, and he had a lot of pairs, he could only try to lead the way with pairs— the Dementor shook his head somewhat bewildered.
It clearly hasn't quite figured out how to play the game yet.
The Black-Robed Skeleton, however, was far more intelligent.
" Seventeen Kings... I'm going to 'bomb the spring' too..."
Um.
Or perhaps they were simply too clever for their own good.
Seeing the hoarse-voiced, Black-Robed Skeleton suddenly spread his arms to reveal seven Dumbledore and eight Grindelwald, the little Wizard's eyes widened into ice cream cones.
