Background / History

Teach arrived in the world of pirates with memories of another life merged with those of the original Marshall D. Teach. He recognized his abnormal body as his greatest advantage: monstrous natural strength, terrifying vitality, and an inability to sleep that gave him far more time to train. 1

From age six onward, he devoted himself to taijutsu and swordsmanship. He acquired the Lightning Current Sword Technique from a declining dojo, learned Flame Flow Swordsmanship under Hael, and deliberately combined both styles with hand-to-hand combat. His goal was to use his hands as blades rather than rely solely on swords. 1

By age twelve, Teach was already a formidable hunter on Asuka, capable of killing enormous beasts with his claws. He was known in Arcas Town for hunting fierce beasts, training at the Blazing Flame Dojo, and driving local thugs away alone. 1 2
