Background

Lin Yi was born to Ouyang Xi and Lin Qingxuan, owners of Shrek City's Dawn Clothing Store. Ouyang Xi wished to name him “Lin Biding” after a prophetic dream before his birth, but Lin Qingxuan intervened; the couple settled on Lin Yi instead. From childhood, he was known for his exceptional appearance, reading habit, and ability to comprehend and extrapolate from books after a single reading. 1

His intelligence originates partly from memories of another world that surfaced when he was two. Afraid his parents would regard him as abnormal, he kept those memories secret and used books to understand the Martial Soul world around him. 1

At six, Lin Yi awakened the Golden Tree Martial Soul. His early cultivation rapidly became extraordinary: he gained ten-thousand-year and forty-thousand-year soul rings through sacrifice-like fusions, preserved the souls of the involved beasts as Soul Spirits, and entered the Soul Grand Master realm at an unprecedented age. 12 16
