As the fleet sailed toward Manros, the Chapters joined forces to prepare a grand memorial service.

Meanwhile, Lu Jin took Lion to the Hall of Glory aboard the Savage Fangs.

Ten Fallen Angels, auxiliary troops of the Chapter, had gathered in the Hall of Glory.

Before entering the hall, Lu Jin spoke about the Fallen Angels as they walked down the corridor.

"Like I told you earlier on the transport."

"We who were once called Renegades have found a home. Some unaffiliated individuals and small groups didn't belong in the Imperium, but didn't want to join Chaos either, so they gathered at Manros's starport. Eventually, they became auxiliary personnel for the Alliance."

"The Dark Angels have hunted the Fallen Angels at any cost. Some of them have already given themselves to Chaos, while others still stand by what is right."

As he listened, Lion recalled events from ten thousand years ago.

During the Horus Heresy, his trusted lieutenant Luther had rebelled, bringing with him some of the Dark Angels Legion veterans who had remained on Caliban, along with a large number of new recruits.

Luther—

The thought made Lion ache. He had considered Luther family, yet Luther had tried to kill him with a nuclear bomb.

Lion remembered that he had returned to Caliban to put down a rebellion. The Fallen Angels should have been his enemies; they had attacked him, too. But now, things didn't seem quite so simple.

As they entered the Hall of Glory, a cleaning robot slowly rolled out.

Seeing what it looked like, Lion found it strange. "Why does this thing have a mechanical head attached? What's it for?"

"That's a long story." Lu Jin kicked the cleaning robot aside and led Lion into the hall.

The Fallen Angels glared furiously at their Primarch.
