"Manros!"
Lu Jin called over the comms.
The next second, a psychic portal formed in the plaza in front of the church.
Manros, Chief Librarian of the Fierce Angels, stepped through with a Sceptre in hand. As he walked, he raised his hand and aimed it at everyone there, Grey Knights included.
The mortal faithful froze in place, their thoughts coming to a standstill.
Even the Grey Knights were bound by Manros's Psionic Power. They struggled with all their might just to keep their thoughts from freezing along with the time around them.
After sensing Manros's age, the Grey Knights concluded he lacked experience, and prepared to seize control of the Psionic Power he was using and turn it against him.
Psionic Power wasn't a Psyker's "mana bar." It was a supernatural force that existed everywhere in the Warp, and anyone could use it.
But when the Grey Knights actually tried, they found they couldn't.
The Psionic Power Manros used was like it had a firewall. Anyone without the right credentials was denied access.
After trying, the Grey Knights could only stay frozen in place and stop wasting their effort.
"I was going to kill you."
"But you aren't Chaos worshippers, after all."
Lu Jin walked over and, along with Lyleth, each picked up a box containing one of the two relics.
"Manros, erase their memories of this."
At his Chapter Master's order, Manros immediately stepped forward and cleared the memories from everyone's minds.
As he erased the memories related to this from the bishop's mind, Manros suddenly turned to the Grey Knight. "You piece of shit! You used Psionic Power to brainwash everyone in the cult into becoming your followers! You even controlled them into killing their own family and friends, just so nobody would find out!"
