Primordial Heavenly Venerate intervened when Tongtian Sect Master fought Jieyin and Zhunti, urging Tongtian to spare the Western Saints. He condemned Tongtian for appointing Deng Jiugong as the Sect of Interception's Vice Sect Master, fearing that this would bind the sect's fortune to Great Shang. 172 173
