Aila's Relief

Inside the Gravity Chamber, Rhode had already raised the gravity to twenty times normal. Unlike simply adding weights to the body, a high-gravity environment imposed a burden on every part of the body, with every inch of flesh and blood bearing the pressure.

Thus, even with his Power Level of over six thousand, twenty times gravity made even walking, sitting, and lying down extremely difficult. High-intensity movements were even harder, and he found it difficult to adapt at first.

Even Rhode, with his strength, was in such a state under twenty times gravity. One could imagine what condition Aila, who had originally been weaker than him, had been in under thirty times gravity. She had practically been risking her life!

He adjusted the gravity back to normal and opened the door. Aila's face was full of anger and frustration. "You actually trained behind my back!"

"When did I? Want to join me?"

Faced with Aila's furious expression, Rhode could not help but laugh. He did not dwell on the matter and simply called her over.

"Of course!"

Aila strode into the Gravity Chamber on her own. As she walked inside, she challenged Rhode, "Want to see who can last longer?"

"Heh."

Seeing Aila Eager to Try, her face full of unwillingness to admit defeat, Rhode could not help shaking his head with a smile. "The reason you lost to me before was not because of a gap in power. It was because your control over your own strength was too poor.

If you had a hundred units of strength, forget bringing out more than a hundred—you could barely use even fifty. But I could at least bring out eighty or ninety percent of my own strength.

On top of that, I used a few minor tricks when I attacked. That was why, in our previous fight, you had no power to fight back in front of me."

Seeing Aila stubbornly refuse to concede and insist on surpassing him through hard training, Rhode could not help offering her some guidance. "Improving your strength requires more than diligent cultivation. It also requires technique. Otherwise, training yourself to death will be useless."

Cultivation required steady accumulation over time, and hard work and diligence were naturally indispensable. But it also required technique and thought. Simply burying one's head in bitter training would yield very limited improvements.

It was like Vegeta's process of Transforming into a Super Saiyan back then. Even if he had already been strong enough, if Goku had not explained the factors behind the transformation, Vegeta might not have succeeded even during the Androids saga.

"In short, I suggest you first improve your control over ki until you can release and retract it freely. Ideally, you should be able to suppress and unleash it instantly. Then you can continue to Increase Power."

By the end, Rhode had given his advice. As for whether Aila would listen, that was beyond his control.

After Rhode finished speaking, Aila unusually did not retort. Instead, she furrowed her brows and fell into thought.

Though she was unwilling to accept it, the fact that he had instantly defeated her was right before her. Aila had no choice but to seriously consider the issue.

Seeing Aila deep in thought, Rhode left her alone and went to one side to do some basic physical training.

Before challenging Rhode again, however, she had to solve the problem of possessing strength without being able to bring out much of her combat power.

With that thought in mind, Aila began to feel out her own strength and carefully train her control over ki.

In the days that followed, the two trained physically in the Gravity Chamber during the day, meditated, and even sparred. At night, they arranged their own schedules without interfering with each other.

And so, time passed bit by bit amid their constant training, while their strength gradually improved without them even realizing it.

Late at night, after dinner and a short rest, Aila returned to the Gravity Chamber. She opened the door and walked inside.

In her view, if she wanted to defeat Rhode, then besides improving her control over her own strength, she had to be more diligent and work harder than he did.

Therefore, in addition to her daytime training and cultivation, Aila trained for several extra hours after dinner every day. Only after finishing her extra training would she go to sleep.

At this moment, while Aila's control over her own strength still lagged behind Rhode's, she could already suppress her outwardly displayed Power Level to below one hundred. It was an immense improvement over before.

The Gravity Chamber was as bright as day. Aila sweated profusely. Though she was unhappy about being suppressed by Rhode, the strength she was gaining every moment filled her with heartfelt joy.

Over the past half month or so, although she never said it aloud, Aila had been immensely relieved that she had muddleheadedly followed Rhode to Earth.

With the primitive methods of improving strength used on Planet Vegeta and by Frieza's squads, raising her Power Level from twenty-six hundred to eight thousand would have taken at least a decade, perhaps several decades!

As for her ultimate strength, she might have been lucky enough to achieve a Power Level above ten thousand, but that would have been her limit.

But Rhode had opened a door leading to a higher realm for her, allowing her to set foot on a road to the heavens.

So what if Frieza had a Power Level of five hundred and thirty thousand? Sooner or later, he would be defeated by her!

Boom!

Just as Aila was focused on her extra training in the Gravity Chamber, a wild and ferocious Aura suddenly burst into the room with unstoppable force, and she sensed it.

The instant she sensed that Aura, Aila's expression changed drastically. Her gaze turned grave as she hurriedly shut down the Gravity Chamber and rushed outside.
