Apparently, Kosuke hadn't clearly heard Madara's roar when he awoke.
However, his weak eyes were still full of curiosity. What had Izuna done to Madara to make him so furious?
Sensing Kosuke's desire to know, Izuna prepared to speak again.
"Alright, go stay quiet over there. Can't you see my brother just woke up? What are you babbling about!"
Seeing Izuna about to continue, Mina unceremoniously shooed him away.
She then turned to Mito with a comforting smile, "Mito, it's okay. Big Brother Madara isn't that petty."
He isn't petty?!
GOOGLING TWKAN
Black Zetsu would bungee jump!
He's the one with the smallest mind among us!
And when did Mito change her name??
Seeing Kosuke unable to speak, only able to weakly glare, Mito's worried heart instantly turned to dust.
The curve of her lips was like the spring sunlight, warm and comforting.
Seeing this, Mina's eyes darted, and she got up, taking the still quietly grumbling Izuna towards Madara's tent.
"Mito, you help Kosuke with another check-up first. Izuna and I will go explain the situation to Big Brother Madara to avoid any misunderstandings."
These strained words made Mito immediately understand the hidden meaning behind Mina's words.
As Mina and Izuna's figures left Kosuke's tent, a faint blush spread across Mito's fair neck.
Kosuke, lying on the bed unable to move, didn't see this.
He was just very puzzled. What did his sister need to explain to Madara?
After a brief but intense period of thought, Kosuke's mind felt utterly exhausted.
As his eyes were about to close in a daze, he seemed to once again catch a scent that made his heart tremble.
Damn it!
Do I really have to slow down my sword-drawing speed?
On the battlefield, the smell of smoke stung people's eyes.
Senju Butsuma gazed at the battlefield with a solemn expression.
His clansmen knelt in the blood, their left arms twisted at unnatural angles. The clan emblem on their chests was scorched black by the Uchiha's Fire Release, like a hideous scar.
"Father, the right flank... the right flank is completely annihilated," Tobirama's voice, mixed with blood foam, still held a trace of unwillingness. "They used Sharingan genjutsu, our sensory ninjas... couldn't distinguish friend from foe at all..."
Butsuma's gaze swept over Tobirama's shoulder, and he saw the River of God had already been dyed a dark red.
The bodies of Senju ninjas floated downstream, like fallen maple leaves.
On the opposite bank, Uchiha Tajima stood on high ground, his Three Tomoe Sharingan glinting coldly in the sunlight. The kunai in his hand still dripped with the blood of Senju ninjas.
"Hahahaha, Senju Butsuma, this is the consequence of your son's mistake!" Uchiha Tajima's arrogant voice, mixed with the din of battle, fiercely pierced Senju Butsuma's eardrums, causing him immense pain.
"Pass down the order, contract the defense line, and retreat to the Gorge of God," Butsuma's voice was hoarse, as if ground by sandpaper.
He reached out and placed a hand on Tobirama's shoulder, only to find his own palm trembling uncontrollably.
When had the Senju Clan, once dominant on the battlefield, become so fragile?
After a moment of stunned silence, Butsuma's gaze became firm again.
No, it's not that we've become fragile, but that the Uchiha are too treacherous!
"Defend? Senju Butsuma, surrender. How long will you continue to resist?" Tajima put away his kunai, drew a folding fan with his other hand, and stood beside him, glaring fiercely at Butsuma.
"Surrender?" Butsuma flung a kunai. "Look at you Uchiha, you're nothing but a bunch of lunatics, ants manipulated by genjutsu, and you dare say that to my Forest of Senju Clan?!"
Butsuma swallowed a Soldier Pill, gathered the slowly recovering Chakra within him, and charged towards Tajima again.
"Manipulated by genjutsu?" Tajima chuckled. "I'd like to see how long the Forest of Senju Clan can survive in this chaotic era without its Clan Head!"
Tajima's voice continued to carry, filled with bone-chilling coldness and mockery.
"I heard your Forest of Senju and the Crimson Vortex Clan have a generational friendship and marital ties. Oh, right..." He suddenly threw a kunai with a blue silk ribbon tied to it. "This was found near where you were holding prisoners. Consider it a welcome gift."
Butsuma stopped and reached out to take the special kunai.
When he saw the gleaming Vortex Clan Emblem on the ribbon, Butsuma felt a wave of dizziness, almost falling to the ground.
A frame-up!!
This thought suddenly flashed through his mind.
Without hesitation, he loudly retorted, "What? Did you Uchiha secretly attack the Vortex Princess and then try to frame my Senju Clan?"
At this moment, the conversation between Butsuma and Tajima was quickly known by the clansmen on the battlefield. Their gazes became complicated, and suspicion and speculation spread like a plague among the crowd.
"Frame-up?" Tajima suddenly burst into hearty laughter. "With the Uchiha's reputation in the ninja world, why would we need to do that?"
"We weren't afraid when you allied with the Vortex before, why would we need to frame the Senju?"
Tajima's face showed a disdainful smile, his contemptuous gaze openly revealed.
Just as Butsuma was at a loss, a startled cry came from behind him, instantly dispelling the confusion in his eyes.
"Father, be careful!"
Hashirama's roar awakened the dazed Butsuma.
He instinctively turned sideways, a kunai grazed his ear and flew past, embedding itself in a large tree behind him. A note tied to the hilt fluttered down: "Senju thieves, if you want what you desire, exchange Mito's life for it!"
Tajima's Sharingan suddenly lit up, and he instantly saw the contents without any effort. "It seems I wasn't wrong. The Vortex Princess was secretly taken by you Senju."
"No! Impossible!" Butsuma roared with all his might, Chakra surging wildly within him. "This is slander! You Uchiha fabricated it!"
"Fabricated?" Tajima's dismissive voice echoed again from the other side of the river. "Do you think we Uchiha fear the Vortex, to the point of fabricating messages to make your two clans fight, benefiting us Uchiha?"
"Ridiculous!" Mocking laughter spread arrogantly across the battlefield. "What does the Vortex have to show besides Sealing Techniques? Do we Uchiha need to go to such lengths? Do we need to rely on fabricated messages to profit?"
"Father!! Be careful not to fall into their trap!!"
Hashirama's voice rang out again, followed by Tobirama arriving beside Butsuma, carrying Hashirama, who still had a few bandages wrapped around him.
Hashirama's hands glowed with a brilliant blue light as he placed them on his father's back.
As Chakra, imbued with vibrant life, flowed in, Butsuma's eyes shone brightly. He snorted coldly, "Whatever you say goes? Everything relies on the truth. Based solely on your words, Uchiha Tajima, the Vortex will become enemies with my Senju? You underestimate the clan leaders who have survived in chaotic times."
