Background / History

Originally named Chen Feng, Qian Li survived the Feng Family's extermination of the Chen household. The massacre followed a Feng Family relative's attempt to take his sister, Chen E, as a concubine; Qian Li later learned that the family had also targeted the Chen household in connection with an Exotic Insect Egg. He escaped, assumed the identity of Qian Li, and devoted his life to avenging the 137 dead members of his family. 111 257 259

Under his new identity, he established the Iron Wire Fist Martial Arts School in Willow City. Publicly, it was an ordinary martial arts hall; privately, Qian Li cultivated disciples, gathered resources, and placed trusted followers within the Righteous Army and other local forces. He intended to turn this network into the force that would destroy the Feng Family. 110 126

Qian Li had once belonged to the Three Origins Sect, whose three core arts were Iron Wire Fist, Flying Cloud Leg, and Vast Origin Palm. He eventually betrayed the sect and stole the Exotic Insect Zhi, placing himself under a continuing manhunt. 291 292
