Background / History

The sect has stood for several centuries. Its second-generation Sect Master, a martial prodigy who reached the Fifth Turn before age thirty, led the sect in driving Great Zhou officials from the Three Prefectures. The Imperial Court subsequently withdrew and entered an arrangement of joint rule with the sect. 389

Though the commandery governors retain nominal authority over civil affairs, the Three Origins Sect dominates Martial Dao matters through its Three Origins Envoys. These envoys rank alongside—or above—commandery governors, and the sect can directly remove officials who challenge its interests. 389 390

Its original inheritance is built around three supreme martial arts and their ultimate fusion method, the Three Absolutes Returning Origin Qi. Sect founders and several later Sect Masters used this inheritance to reach the Sixth Turn. 291

Territory and Headquarters

The sect's sphere of influence covers Yunzhou, Lan Province, and Ding Province: connected, populous territories rich in produce and martial practitioners. Its regional strength exceeds that of Prince of Nanyang in the Northern Border. 293

The sect accepts disciples through several channels:

• Public selection — Every three years, the sect recruits promising youths from major cities across the Three Prefectures as Outer Sect disciples. 293
