Background / History

Luohu is an ancient Devil Ancestor who has roamed the Primordial World for countless millennia. He coveted the Nine Demon Pagoda for years, believing it was destined for him, but the treasure instead voluntarily acknowledged Xie Fang as its master 24.

He is a longstanding adversary of Dao Ancestor Hongjun. Their conflict represents a wider struggle between Dao and Devil, and they repeatedly clash while competing for treasures and influence over the Primordial World 37 99.

Appearance

Luohu first appears as a black-clad figure concealed in the shadows before revealing himself as the Devil Ancestor 24.

  • Carries a dark spear associated with immense slaughter.
  • Surrounds himself with dense demonic qi and Sha Qi in battle.
  • Can manifest a colossal demonic giant through his Laws 24 25.

Personality

Luohu is intensely acquisitive, pursuing powerful treasures even when doing so provokes stronger opponents. His attempt to seize the Nine Demon Pagoda and the Sea Calming Pearls from Xie Fang stems directly from this greed 24.

He favors ambushes, deception, formations, and indirect methods over straightforward confrontation. He issues bounties, deploys clones, manipulates formations, and uses living beings as material to restore his cultivation 25 52 53 59.

His alliances are pragmatic and unstable. Although described as Sect Master Tongtian's favored disciple, Luohu later offers Tongtian's life as a bargaining chip when it serves his own interests 82 87.
