Background

Mo Wu was an unnamed young Ink Kirin living near Buzhou Mountain. His parents had died, and his impure, mixed bloodline led to mistreatment within the Kirin Clan. When he encountered Xie Fang, he asked to become either his disciple or mount rather than remain in the clan. Xie Fang accepted him, named him Mo Wu for his ink-black body and five-element nature, and encouraged him to overcome his innate shortcomings through cultivation 11.

He became Xie Fang's mount, carrying him through the Primordial World while also serving as a guide to nearby blessed lands. His knowledge of West Kunlun Mountain directly led Xie Fang to the Ren Water Flat Peach tree 11 12.

Mo Wu later cultivated alongside Zhen Yuanzi within Xie Fang's spatial realm, then trained on the Three Immortal Islands after Xie Fang refined them. His advancement accelerated through the islands' abundant Spiritual Qi, Xie Fang's sermons, and the resources his master provided 15 18 19 21.

Although initially timid and self-conscious about his lineage and low cultivation, he possesses considerable courage. During his Grand Unity Tribulation, he charged directly into the thunderclouds and endured the heavenly lightning head-on 19.
