The Golden Ranking publicly reveals a target's name, affiliation, martial soul, cultivation level, and a written assessment explaining the placement. Its evaluations can praise an individual's strengths, identify limitations, or openly condemn perceived failings. Tang Ming was denounced as a brute who relied on strength without technique, while Gongsun Li was judged to have restricted her twin-martial-soul potential by pursuing only the agility path 7 11.

It distinguishes between raw cultivation and true combat ability. Bone Douluo's space-oriented Bone Dragon Martial Soul and Ghost Douluo's shortage of offensive methods affected their standings despite their status as Titled Douluo 4.

History

The Golden Ranking appeared over the Douluo Continent and began compiling its first list of the thirty strongest combatants, immediately destabilizing the expectations of major powers. Its first public entry placed Chrysanthemum Douluo at thirtieth, proving that even prominent figures from Martial Soul Hall could be judged harshly 2.

As the combat rankings continued, Great Wall Academy—previously unknown to the continent—repeatedly appeared among the listed forces. Shao Siyuan's twenty-seventh-place announcement was the first revelation of the academy's existence to most factions 5. Great Wall Academy later dominated the highest positions, culminating in Su Han's first-place designation as the strongest combatant 36 37.

After completing the combat list, the Ranking announced the Talent Golden Ranking seven days later 38. It subsequently expanded again into the Faction Power Ranking, assessing organizations from the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect to Spirit Hall, Sea God Island, and the Lake of Life 67 73 74 76.
