Background / History

Nuwa and her elder brother Fuxi travel together through the Primordial Wilderness. While visiting Qin Yun's Mountain God Temple, Nuwa's curiosity leads her to offer incense despite Fuxi's objections. Qin Yun draws her into his Inner Space, where she is initially wary of his overwhelming and unexplained power. 15 17

Qin Yun gives Nuwa two Origins of Creation Dao Laws, Nine Heavens Breathing Soil, and Three Lights Divine Water. She hesitates to accept such gifts without merit, but ultimately does so and vows not to forget his kindness. She later refines one Creation Origin, advancing her understanding of the Dao of Creation. 18 19 22

After she and Fuxi return to offer incense a century later, their relationship with Qin Yun becomes more established. Nuwa and Fuxi host fellow cultivators at their Buzhou Mountain dojo, where they discuss the Dao for two hundred years. 45 61

Nuwa becomes Hongjun's disciple and receives a strand of Primordial Violet Qi, though she initially cannot refine it. Believing the Red Embroidered Ball may advance by presiding over the marriages of Heaven, Earth, and Man, she attempts to arrange Dijun's marriage with the Moon Star goddesses. The attempt does not advance the treasure or grant the expected merit. 174 197 199

At peak Quasi-Saint, Nuwa seeks Qin Yun's guidance. He directs her attention away from the Red Embroidered Ball and toward the absence of Acquired Beings in the Primordial World. Nuwa realizes that her path is to prove Dao through creation and receives a thread of merit upon this enlightenment. 222 223

Inspired by Kongtong Daoist molding clay figures, Nuwa uses Nine Heavens Breathing Soil, Three Lights Divine Water, and the Law of Creation to bring the first human to life. She and Kongtong Daoist subsequently create 129,600 humans using the Gourd Vine; Nuwa receives seventy percent of the resulting merit, proves Dao, and becomes a Saint. 230 231

Following her ascension, Nuwa establishes Empress Wa's Palace in Chaos and preaches the Dao of Creation for three thousand years. She remains loyal to Qin Yun, publicly refusing Jieyin and Zhunti's demands that she attack him and promising to protect him from harm. 232 237

During the Witch–Demon conflict, Nuwa opposes indiscriminate war and protects the Human Race from the Demon Race's slaughter for the Witch Slaying Sword. Though affiliated with the Demon Race, she and Fuxi initially remain neutral between the Demon and Witch Clans, acting against the massacre rather than joining either side's ambitions. 296 323 324 333

After the fall of Dijun and Donghuang Taiyi, Nuwa and the West Queen Mother repair the sky and Buzhou Mountain. The resulting merit raises Nuwa to the fifth level of the Saint Realm. 366

Personality

Nuwa is curious, lively, and respectful. Her curiosity brings her into the Mountain God Temple, while her humility is evident in her courteous treatment of much weaker beings and reluctance to accept Qin Yun's gifts without cause. 15 18

She is deeply grateful and loyal toward Qin Yun, viewing his gifts and guidance as kindness she must repay. Even after becoming a Saint, she refuses to harm him and promises to protect him. 19 237
