When Duanmu Huai opened his eyes, he was floating in space filled with wreckage. A System Prompt appeared before him.
GM9134: Congratulations, player, on successfully clearing the game.
"If this were a game, this is where the credits and cast list would appear, right?"
Duanmu Huai sighed.
"Too bad reality isn't that easy."
GM9134: Is that so?
"That's right. The Evil Gods are finished, but the soil that spawned them is still here."
As he spoke, Duanmu Huai looked toward the distant Eye of Terror. Although the Evil Gods had been destroyed, this Milky Way Galaxy's hemorrhoid still retained its utterly disgusting appearance.
"And then there's the Great Expedition—a comprehensive cleansing of Warp Space. We need to sweep away all the filth that has accumulated there over thousands of millennia. Only then can we make sure it doesn't hatch some cockroach-like monstrosity again."
That was right. To Duanmu Huai, eliminating the Evil Gods was not the end, but merely the beginning. What he had done was simply kill the four largest cockroaches that had hatched in the garbage dump known as Warp Space. But if the current state of Warp Space, with sewage flowing everywhere and trash littering the ground, did not change, then it was only a matter of time before a new Cockroach King appeared.
GM9134: I thought you would be more... relaxed, player.
"I actually quite like this kind of life."
Duanmu Huai shrugged. After all, back in his original world, his talents were of little use. At most, he could play some games. But now, at least he could use his talents to do something grand and impressive. In his original world, that probably would have gotten him arrested. So although this life was quite dangerous, Duanmu Huai actually liked
