Duanmu Huai destroyed the Demon King’s forces and razed a peaceful human-Ork settlement before investigating a lost colony and launching a scheme to draw Orks and Tyranids into the Eye of Terror. Mary and the others freed him from the Orc Phantoms’ influence, and Duanmu Huai began building defenses to contain the Tyranids.

• Duanmu Huai killed the Demon King and, after learning its power came from a voice rather than a direct meeting with the Evil God, destroyed its castle and continued fighting the occupying army.
• Duanmu Huai declared the humans living peacefully under an Ork lord heretics, led the Death Legion in destroying their settlement, and ordered it burned despite the inhabitants’ loyalty to their home.
• Rista questioned the Inquisition’s methods as she helped rescued humans, while Isisdeta established a system for gods to brief Inquisition forces before missions.
• Duanmu Huai investigated a colony inside the Eye of Terror, discovered a crashed Retribution-class Battleship and an Ecclesiarchy bell, then learned of the Emperor’s plans for the Warp.
• Duanmu Huai sent Pardofelis, Ellie, and Eden to retrieve the Orcish Crown, then used it to rally the Orks and lead them into the Eye of Terror.
• Mary’s team discovered Genestealers on the colony world and traced Duanmu Huai’s abnormal behavior to two Orc Phantoms amplifying his Origin through the Orks’ power.
• Mary, Ellie, and Lorena attacked the Orc Phantoms and freed Duanmu Huai, who learned that Mary had left the crown behind as Tyranids descended on the planet.

Duanmu Huai activated the Gift Game and defeated Savage Wrath in a Hive City, where he also uncovered Chaos, Necron, and Genestealer threats. He then entered a zombie-plagued world, recruited survivors into a growing force, and prepared them to resist Corruption's Filth.

• Duanmu Huai repelled Tyranids and Chaos forces at the fortresses, then activated the Aetheric Engine as Warp Space engulfed the galaxy and demons attacked.
• Duanmu Huai entered the Gift Game, reunited with Mary, Rumiere, Ling Nu, and Minme Satori, and investigated Chaos activity in a Hive City.
• Duanmu Huai uncovered a Steel Screw Body Cult plot and a buried Necron tomb, killed the Necron Lord, and led Necron Warriors against Genestealers and rioters.
• Duanmu Huai fought and destroyed Savage Wrath while Mary and Minme Satori found a sealed Nightbringer shard that Duanmu Huai cast into a star.
• Duanmu Huai entered a ruined modern city, fought zombies, rescued survivors, and conscripted them into his growing force.
• Duanmu Huai trained survivors to fight zombies and explained to Mary that he needed to build an army and a human anchor before attacking Corruption's Filth.
• Mikazuki's group brought survivors seeking help for Alice to the Inquisition's base, where Medea cured her fever and dehydration.

Duanmu Huai led the Inquisition through cities corrupted by Obsessive Sin and Corruption’s Filth, then destroyed Obsessive Sin and its world. He entered the Deceitful Trickster’s game with Ann, Mary, and Kurokawa Akane, where they began investigating Hope’s Peak Academy.

• Duanmu Huai transformed the Inquisition’s district into a Floating Island, gathered survivors, and led an assault on a city where Obsessive Sin’s plague turned residents into demons.
• Duanmu Huai exposed the corruption at Saint Chris Girls' Academy, and the Inquisition killed the demons hiding among its students before defeating the Greater Daemon.
• Duanmu Huai summoned the fallen soldiers as Soul Guards, then led the Inquisition to a city where humans and zombies served Corruption’s Filth.
• Duanmu Huai destroyed the city’s ruler and defeated a Chaos-corrupted Genestealer Patriarch, then appointed Mikazuki to lead the Inquisition on the planet before departing to fight the Evil God.
• Duanmu Huai summoned Shub-Niggurath to draw out Obsessive Sin, then fought it and the Spirit Race God of Death Yagg with the Black Goat Spawn.
• Duanmu Huai defeated Obsessive Sin and Yagg, destroyed their planet, and absorbed Obsessive Sin’s power while planning how to keep the Deceitful Trickster from escaping.
