Foundation and Territory

Great Xia was founded after Lord Xia led most of humanity to settle upon the body of the slain Bai E Ancient God. He established the Eighteen Prefectures and assigned Xia Family experts to oversee the long-term suppression of Bai E's remnants. Jin Prefecture's overseer was an exception, remaining unchanged across generations. 433

History

Founding era

Lord Xia and the Five Clans fought amid the ancient conflict between Bai E and Fan Ni. After the Ancient Gods were destroyed but could not be permanently eradicated, humanity migrated and Great Xia was established on Bai E's corpse. The Xia Family's prefectural overseers were tasked with maintaining the suppression that protected humanity. 433

Great Xia was once humanity's dominant state. The Five Clans regarded its State Lords as sovereigns, while their own leaders held the status of vassals. 649

Decline and internal division

Over time, Great Xia's suppression of Bai E weakened, allowing malice to intensify and Ancient God Beasts to proliferate. The Xia Family's political authority also diminished, while the Aristocratic Alliance and regional powers gained influence. 270 337

The Imperial Calamity further weakened successive State Lords. This burden was later revealed to stem from Great Xia's rulers suppressing an Ancient God. 519

By the period of Chen Yan's rise, Qin Prefecture was outwardly subordinate to Great Xia but increasingly unstable, while powerful figures across multiple prefectures displayed ambitions of independence. 385

Xia Qi's reforms

State Lord Xia Qi treated Chen Yan as a pivotal figure for Great Xia's future. He issued a General Star Order, arranged Chen Yan's general-bestowal ceremony, and intended to use Chen Yan's rise to challenge the Five Clans and purge internal collaborators. 337 368 369

After Chen Yan passed the general-conferring tribulation, Xia Qi named him the Immortal General Star. Chen Yan later became a Divine General and, following Xia Qi's death, received the title Heavenly Divine General. 426 433 558

War with the Five Clans

Great Xia entered open conflict with Ji Prefecture and the broader Five Clans. The Eternal King advanced into Ji Prefecture under the protection of the Lord Xia Sword, while Xia Hanzhou coordinated Great Xia's military response. 427 452

Xia Qi gambled Great Xia's future on Chen Yan by offering the Soul of the Life Chapter and sending Great Xia's Creation Realm experts into the Five Clans Competition. 530 558

Crisis after Chen Yan's fall

Chen Yan's apparent death destabilized Great Xia severely. The Chi Lord described it as the death of the nation's heart, believing that Great Xia would begin to collapse without him. 773

Li Zhiyi's defense of Great Xia

Li Zhiyi became a central defender of Great Xia after awakening the Will Martial Dao. He led the Hundred Thousand Exorcism Army to cleanse Great Xia's lands of malice and later protected humanity from the Ancient Gods' gaze. 882 923

His rise forced the Five Clans to reassess their campaign against Great Xia, as his power and influence surpassed their expectations. 882

Reconstruction

Five years after the final conflict, Great Xia's ruined lands had been restored. Former battlefields became fertile again, cities and towns resumed ordinary life, and stories of the Heavenly Divine Generals endured through monuments and popular memory. 1013
