Origins

Ancient God Beasts are created when ancient gods purge their malice and it crystallizes; a living being that consumes a Malice Crystal has a high chance of transforming into one. They are distinct from ordinary Ancient Beasts in power, malice, and human-like intelligence. 123

Later historical records indicate that widespread malice contamination transformed countless humans into Ancient God Beasts after Bai E's death. Bai E subsequently influenced the emergence of Elemental, Formation-Condensing, and Pure Evil Ancient God Beasts. 958

• Ancient God Beasts are not necessarily born as beasts: some retain human appearances, disguise themselves as humans, or originate from cursed humans. 73 131 942

The Dream Ancient God Beast is an exceptional fusion of all three types, possessing pure malice, elemental manipulation, and high-level formation mastery. 523

Ancient God Beasts are a primary threat to human settlements. Outside of Tides, they normally cannot enter the Pure Land; during a Tide, this restriction changes. 847 850

Human martial development is closely tied to them:
