On May 28 of Great Undertaking Year 12, Zheng Sen asks him how to intercept the returning Sea Sand Gang fleet. Bai Yulou proposes an ambush inside the Yangtze River: its calmer waters would ease the pressure on inexperienced recruits, while its confined geography would limit enemy escape.
