Broly was born with a Battle Power of 10,000, vastly exceeding the newborn Kakarot’s power of two. The two were placed in adjacent nursery pods, and Kakarot’s crying left Broly with an enduring negative reaction to Kakarot’s voice and ki. 107 118

He was sent to Planet Vampa and, unlike the expected history, grew up without Paragus. Without Saiyan nursery education or parental care, he survived alone in a primitive, malnourished state, unaware even of basic practices such as washing his hands. 116 117

Zhu Mang found Broly at approximately five years old, identified him as the more gentle-natured “DBS Broly,” and initially tested his temperament by provoking him with food. After witnessing his hunger and isolation, Zhu Mang abandoned the idea of treating him as a weapon and instead became his adoptive big brother. 116 117
