Background / History

Zhu Mang was originally a human who transmigrated into the body of the low-class Saiyan Gebinz. Although he initially believed Gebinz’s influence had faded, the Saiyan’s memories resurfaced violently, driving him into a bloodthirsty episode in which he indiscriminately attacked pirates and Marines. He ultimately reaffirmed his identity as Zhu Mang rather than allowing Gebinz’s past to define him. 33

During his time in the One Piece world, Sengoku, Tsuru, and Aokiji could not determine his origins beyond Sabaody Archipelago. They attributed his unusual power to an apparent combination of Mythical Zoan-like abilities, exceptional racial talent, and cultivation. Zhu Mang rapidly mastered the Navy Six Powers, then spent time developing his Great Ape power on Egghead under Vegapunk’s observation. 20 87

After leaving Egghead, Zhu Mang returned to the Dragon Ball universe. On Namek, he sought Porunga’s help to improve his limited Saiyan potential and obtained the Primal Saiyan bloodline.
