Thin Dog, Demonic Fox, and Lin Tang's setups were much stronger than when they first entered the "game."
Each of them could now unleash at least twice their previous combat power.
There was no need to mention their weapons; they were all high-quality spears crafted by Xiao Xiao.
In addition, Thin Dog had three accessories embedded with [Boiling Blood], reaching the cap for stat boosts obtainable from accessories.
Lin Tang had also received a ring and a skull necklace, granting him 4 HP recovery per second, plus a 13% radiation resistance and a small physical damage bonus.
All three wore one to two pieces of armor dropped by Raiders. Besides the armor itself, they had no additional stats, but they were quite durable, preventing penetration by normal weapons and effectively stopping bleeding effects.
As for experience, Thin Dog currently had the most, a full 198 points!
Demonic Fox was second with 182 points, while Lin Tang had cleared four fewer Skeletons than the other two, earning him only 150 experience.
The trio rested for a moment, taking turns wearing the ring, and then ate two more Beans, maxing out their stamina and health.
"Let's go! We're heading back into the cellar! To farm Skeletons!"
Demonic Fox left the four Skeleton skulls they had killed earlier behind the large rock.
The three of them crept back in and immediately spotted two standing Skeletons in the dark cellar.
"Let's f***ing go!"
Thin Dog handed his weapon with the aura to Demonic Fox, using the opportunity to recover his depleted mental energy.
Actually, if they fought while holding the Rune Bone, their mental energy recovery and the aura's mental energy consumption would cancel each other out. However, Thin Dog found it too inconvenient. Using a two-handed weapon like a spear, holding an adult's arm-sized bone in the other hand was extremely cumbersome.
So, the three of them took turns using the weapon with the aura, allowing their mental energy consumption and recovery to remain roughly balanced.
Clang, clang, clang!
The three of them first finished off a weakened Skeleton, the one they had been fighting midway last time.
[Jointly killed Skeleton Warrior, Experience +6.]
"With experience split among three people, each only gets 6 points, but in terms of total experience, it's still more profitable for the three of us to kill them together."
If two people killed it, each would get 8 points for a total of only 16 experience.
If three people killed it, each would get 6 points for a total of 18 points.
A small profit of 2 points.
The other Skeleton still wanted to resist, using its slightly faster speed compared to the players.
But the attacks from the three spears were too dense, making evasion impossible. It only managed to strike each of them once before being speared to death by the barrage.
All three lost about 80 health, which was negligible.
"Lin Tang, give me your skull necklace. I want to increase my HP recovery too," Demonic Fox reached out.
Lin Tang clutched his chest, "Why mine? Thin Dog has three pieces of equipment, make him share one!"
"He's our team's highest combat power, so he absolutely needs his equipment maxed out. We need him to perform at critical moments. Hurry up and give me one, don't stall!"
"Fine..." Lin Tang reluctantly handed the necklace to Demonic Fox.
Both of their HP recovery rates increased by 2 points.
With 80 damage taken, it would only take 40 seconds to recover fully.
Demonic Fox picked up two complete skulls from the ground and placed them together, preparing to take them on the way up later.
Thin Dog continued to scan their surroundings.
A moment later... two Skeletons emerged from a prison cell.
"They're here! They're here! Let's keep killing!"
Crack, crack, crack!
[Jointly killed Skeleton Warrior, Experience +6.]
[Jointly killed Skeleton Warrior, Experience +6.]
It was perfect for the three of them to fight two Skeletons. No surprises, no dangers. They each took some minor injuries and gained 16 experience points.
"Let's go! Up to heal!"
The three humans, their bodies covered in bloody cuts but with strange smiles on their faces, happily ran out of the cellar carrying four skulls.
This scene... was a bit eerie.
For a normal Wastelander, with these wounds and blood loss, even if they didn't die immediately, subsequent tetanus or bacterial infections would be fatal. They could basically prepare for their funeral.
But the three of them didn't care at all.
As they ate Beans, their wounds scabbed over, and their conditions rapidly recovered.
"The Raider drops are too useful... this recovery rate, I'm crying!"
At their feet, there were already four Raider corpses and eight Skeleton skulls.
The experience gained was substantial.
Afterward, the trio went in for two more rounds. The cellar fell completely silent; no matter what, no more Skeletons would spawn.
Thin Dog: "Huh? That's it? It's gone already?"
Lin Tang: "Damn it! I haven't farmed enough yet! That's all there is?"
The Demonic Fox walked around various dungeons and concluded, "It should be gone. You saw there were many corpses on the ground before, but now their skeletons are all gone. They were probably all catalyzed into Skeleton Warriors to attack us. Since there are no more corpses, I guess no more Skeletons will spawn."
"Ah? I finally found a leveling spot I could handle, and it's limited. So annoying."
"Huh? What's this..."
While exploring the dungeon, Thin Dog walked into the room where he had previously searched for loot. A black box the size of a vibrator had appeared again.
"Isn't this Radiated Material? I definitely took it last time. What the hell!? This thing respawns?"
Thin Dog was shocked.
Energy wasn't just key to their resurrection of Clones; turning it in to the Lord also yielded a lot of Merit Points and Iron Coins.
The Demonic Fox pocketed the black box.
"Since there are no more monsters spawning, let's go. We can check back here tomorrow when we log in."
"Yeah, that makes sense. We don't have many Beans on us anyway. We need to carry more food when we go out from now on... Otherwise, we can't recover our health."
Lin Tang: "Right, we still need to hunt a few more Prey to complete the daily quests for everyone."
The three of them loaded the four Raider corpses and twelve skulls onto a small cart and began searching for Prey.
In the Raider cellar, an old man emerged from the wall. He looked at the pile of broken bones and cried out to the heavens:
"What a sin!"
The Mutated Hyenas that the Four Mountains hunters feared greatly were the favorite of the trio. This was because these Prey didn't run away; they chased anyone they saw and wouldn't let go until they were killed, making them classic fast, low-health monsters.
Once caught, they could be killed in a few hits.
Even if the three of them were bitten, they could recover from minor injuries.
Toxins and radiation, which normal humans feared the most, were like tickles to the trio. Since they couldn't kill them, they could recover.
Of course, major injuries like broken bones or severed limbs couldn't be recovered naturally.
After a busy half-hour, the trio finally gathered five Prey.
"Good grief, five of these things. They don't give much Experience, and they take so much time. The efficiency of farming these is too low."
"That definitely can't compare to the Skeletons. Let's go back and check tomorrow."
"Let's go! Back to the Base!"
The three of them pushed the small cart piled high with Loot happily back to the Calamity Base.
From a hidden spot on the road, two old hunters from the Four Mountains settlement hid behind the trees. They clicked their tongues after seeing them.
"Just three people, and they're using cold weapons, and they caught so much Prey. Should we try a mantis stalking the cicada?"
"Don't be stupid! Did you see what that green stuff pressed at the bottom of their cart was? That's not damn water grass, that's four Raiders! Look at our own caliber... Do we dare provoke people who can butcher Raiders like chickens? I bet there are three good Guns hidden under that small cart. The moment we show ourselves, they'll pull them out and start blasting!"
"But we're in the dark and they're in the light. If we shoot first, won't they suffer casualties first?"
"Did you see the green clothes they're wearing? They're very thick. I guess they're probably bulletproof inside... In short, something is fishy. There are no such easy deals in the Wasteland. Do you really think we can take down these three people just by shooting a few times with our Guns? The most important thing for a hunter is a keen sense of smell. Learn from this! Let's withdraw!"
"Hiss~ Learn until you grow old!"
The two hunters with their hunting Guns quietly moved away from the trio pushing the cart, feeling greatly relieved that they had avoided another fatal temptation.
By the time Thin Dog and the other two pushed their cart back to the Calamity Base, it was already 5 PM.
Thin Dog: "Another fruitful day!"
Demonic Fox: "Although it was tiring, it was worth it."
Lin Tang: "With so much Loot, I can't wait to show off to Forgiveness Hat and Xiao Xiao! If I make a lot of Money and can't tell anyone, I feel like ants are crawling on me!"
The Demonic Fox waved its hand, "No need. We are combat players, and they are life players. It's normal to have a lot of gains. Don't compare yourselves to them; be low-key and show the demeanor of beta testers!"
"Eh? What is that green thing all over the Base? Is it ivy?"
