Departure for the Frontline

At level 12, Xu Feng chose Soldier as a second specialization and named his combined Barbarian-Soldier path Formation Breaker. He stocked up on health and energy potions, acquired a horse, and left Calamity Base for the northeast, intending to become the game's most prominent player 216.

He reached the Human Alliance's Yinglong Military Base, where he pursued battlefield experience rather than competing directly with the Peak Squad's growth at Calamity Base. The route from Calamity Base took him six days across more than 800 kilometers of difficult terrain 262 283.

Frontline Sub-Base

Xu Feng welcomed Magic Conch's group to Yinglong Military Base at level 30 and encouraged them to exploit the abundant frontline experience together 263. He helped them establish a sub-base in abandoned Barrier Town and supplied two Skill Imprints to strengthen its future players 263 264.

After becoming a Company Commander, he recruited Sister Sisi for healing support and considered acquiring healing skills to reduce his soldiers' casualties 264.

Mengsha Town Siege

During a zombie legion's attack on Mengsha Town, Xu Feng commanded 120 soldiers while defending injured troops alongside Sisi. Her refusal to heal and repeated abuse of the soldiers provoked him to slap her unconscious before he returned to the fighting 279 280.

He fought five White-Haired Zombies alone, using his shield, greatsword, Cleave, and rapid regeneration to hold the line until player reinforcements arrived 280. After the battle, he covered the retreat and recovered zombie corpses for the branch base's Loot Generators 281.

Conflict with Zhao Rujiao

Zhao Sisi summoned Zhao Rujiao, a Fourth-Order Cross Cult professional, to target Xu Feng and the battlefield players 282 283. After Zhao Rujiao publicly humiliated him and political pressure prevented Yinglong Military Base from punishing the attacker, Xu Feng resolved that Zhao Rujiao would not be allowed to leave 283.

Xu Feng deliberately provoked Zhao Rujiao with information about his allies' equipment, baiting him out of the Soldier base. When Zhao Rujiao attacked him, Unyielding Will kept Xu Feng alive long enough for the plan to succeed 285.
