Background

The Wu Clan regarded itself as the orthodox lineage of Pangu and the rightful ruler of the Primordial Wilderness. When Di Jun established the Demon Race and claimed authority over all beings, the Wu Clan answered by proclaiming itself an independent race that revered only Heaven and Earth, honored only Father God Pangu, and rejected all other authorities. The Twelve Ancestral Witches then led billions of clan members in an immediate assault on the Sun Palace. 17

Before receiving Ao Chen’s teachings, ordinary clan members could not cultivate a Primordial Spirit or absorb spiritual qi in the manner of other races. They strengthened themselves through blood-and-qi tempering and by devouring monsters, a method Dijiang considered inefficient and limited in potential. 26

Ao Chen’s conflict with Zhu Rong developed into centuries of bare-handed sparring and led to his invitation into Wu territory. After defeating the Twelve Ancestral Witches together, Ao Chen spent eight thousand years visiting their tribes, studying their Immortal Bodies and laws through sparring and Dao discussions. The clan’s respect for strength transformed its initial hostility into hospitality and lasting gratitude. 20 23

Establishment and First Wu–Demon Conflict

The Wu Clan formally declares itself after the Demon Race’s establishment and attacks the Sun Palace under the leadership of the Twelve Ancestral Witches. Its superior physical bodies allow it to contest the Demon Race’s elite directly, although Di Jun’s formations prevent an easy victory. 17

Ao Chen’s Visit and the Witch God Art

Zhu Rong brings Ao Chen to the Flame Tribe after their prolonged sparring. The other Ancestral Witches initially test him through combat, but concede after he suppresses all twelve. Ao Chen later designs the Witch God Art for the clan, creating a systematic path that fundamentally changes the prospects of ordinary Wu Clan members. 20 22 23 26 27

Rise of the Reforged Wu Clan

The Sky-Covering Method transforms the clan’s armies. Warriors gain law-infused combat arts, Great Witches proliferate, and the Twelve Ancestral Witches create the Twelve Capital Gods and Demons Great Array. Hou Yi and the Ten Golden Crows

After the Ten Golden Crows devastate the Primordial World, Great Witch Hou Yi kills nine of them. The Twelve Ancestral Witches shield him from Eastern Emperor Taiyi, and Dijiang agrees to a ten-thousand-year pact with Di Jun rather than begin an immediate decisive war. 94 95

War Against the Devil Race

When Luohu’s Devil Race attacks Wu territory, Dijiang organizes the clan’s defense while Zhu Jiuyin urges caution. During the ensuing full-scale war, the strengthened Wu Clan suppresses the Devil Race and forces Jieyin and Zhunti to flee after the Demonic Path is weakened. 150 151 161 164

Final Wu–Demon War

Hongjun’s Heavenly Dao decree drives the Demon Race to launch a final campaign against the Wu Clan at Buzhou Mountain. Although the Twelve Capital Gods and Demons Great Array initially holds the advantage, Di Jun uses the human-blood-forged Witch-Slaying Sword to kill Dijiang. Qiang Liang and Ru Shou sacrifice themselves to weaken and kill Di Jun and destroy the sword, leaving both factions nearly annihilated. 175 176 177

The Wu Clan emerges with a bitter victory but only a few thousand wounded remnants. Ao Chen later offers to save the surviving and fallen Ancestral Witches, restoring all twelve and earning the clan’s absolute allegiance. 181 182 183
