Background and History
Candle Dragon was second only to Ancestral Dragon at the height of the Dragon Clan’s power. Thought to have perished, he remained hidden among the clan until the Demon Race’s sustained assault drew him into battle. Though at the Grand Unity Golden Immortal level, he fought the newly advanced Quasi-Saint Taiyi to a standstill in their clashes. Taiyi’s Chaos Bell nevertheless forced Candle Dragon to lead repeated retreats into the deep sea 216 222.
As the clan’s losses mounted, Candle Dragon returned to its forefront, reasserted control and personally nurtured promising juniors, especially Ying Long. He urged the younger dragon to preserve the clan’s future rather than fight recklessly, and ordered their dead taken to the Myriad Dragon Cave. When Ancestral Dragon secured Hong Yun’s help, Candle Dragon announced that Fire Cloud Cave would protect the clan 223 239 240.
Kun Peng’s assault left Candle Dragon badly wounded. He continued shielding his kin until Hong Yun intervened. After the crisis, Candle Dragon admitted Hong Yun and Zhen Yuan Zi to the Myriad Dragon Cave, shared its treasures, and sought a stronger bond by asking Hong Yun to accept Dragon Clan disciples.
