"Are you sure what you want us to retrieve is Ghost's Hair?"
Sun Busong asked again, cautiously.
"That's right!" The old man's expression carried a hint of disdain.
"Let's go!"
"Sir, when are you going to learn to ride? It's such a waste of time to always walk. Besides, Mrs. Iva's place is too far. This old man wants us to go from the east of Duskwood all the way to the west to find someone. He's doing this on purpose, isn't he? This old geezer, I'll smash his windows after the quest is done."
They had killed several waves of wild monsters along the way. Since these monsters were lower level than Sun Busong, they didn't yield any Slaughter Value or HP, so the job was left to Mr. Punch.
Tauren Punch Master had always lived in the human world. He might not know how to speak Tauren, but he learned human vices very quickly.
"He's so old. If the road wasn't so long, would he have asked us to help him? So don't imagine the worst of people for no reason."
"And this thing about learning to ride, where am I supposed to learn? No one told me."
Sun Busong walked ahead, chatting as he went, with Mr. Punch and Usop behind him, one on his left and one on his right.
"I know where to learn to ride. It's at the East Valley Lumber Mill not far from here. But that's a place for humans to learn. I don't know if they'll teach you," Usop was quite familiar with the area.
Sun Busong looked back at the Dwarf Paladin Usop and asked with some confusion, "Then where did you learn?"
"My profession is Paladin. My class skills include the riding skill, called Summon Warhorse! No matter where I am, as long as I cast the skill, my warhorse will appear before me instantly."
"Hahaha, Sir, I'll show you how to summon a warhorse right now."
As he spoke, Usop prepared to cast the skill.
But Sun Busong, walking ahead, suddenly turned and delivered a side kick to Usop's face, cursing, "You dare to show off in front of me? You think you're so great! Isn't it just riding? I'll go learn tomorrow. If they don't teach me, I'll tear their place down. Who are we? We are Defias Rogues!"
It seemed that Tauren Punch Master's bad habits were learned from certain people!
Not long after they left the old man's room, it started to rain outside. In the pitch-black night, the rain pattered down, occasionally punctuated by a wolf's howl.
"Sir, this place is a bit creepy. Why don't we go to the town ahead to rest and help the old man get his hair tomorrow during the day?" Usop held his hammer defensively in front of his chest.
"Hahaha, you're a Paladin, aren't you? Isn't catching ghosts your specialty? Besides, that old man was clearly trying to scare us. Ghost's Hair? Go tell that to a ghost. I don't believe it."
Although Mr. Punch said that, his deliberate loud talking betrayed him.
"I'm here, what are you worried about? Let's go!"
Sun Busong had never seen a Ghost before, but he had many good items in his backpack. At critical moments, they could instantly kill all sorts of monsters and spirits.
Raven Hill at night was no place for normal people. Dark shapes flew across the sky from time to time, and in the grass by the roadside, pairs of green, eerie eyes watched them from the shadows.
Just then, Tauren Punch Master suddenly moved closer to Sun Busong, his mouth trembling as he said, "S-Sir, something's... something's wrong. I feel like... someone... is pulling... pulling my leg!"
His expression made Sun Busong a little scared. Usop, walking at the front, quickly returned and stood protectively by Sun Busong's side.
Flashbang: Requires Level 23. Use to illuminate an area within a 50-yard radius, intimidating beasts below Level 40, causing them to flee. Duration: 30 seconds.
Sun Busong activated a Flashbang. With a bang, the area turned as bright as day. The surrounding trees, roadside fences, and the pit nearby were all clearly visible.
Sun Busong's eyes moved towards Mr. Punch's leg. He was startled by what he saw. Several grayish-white spider webs were wrapped around Mr. Punch's leg.
The Tauren followed Sun Busong's gaze.
"Moo~~~!"
Mr. Punch let out a startled cry. Sun Busong was almost scared to death by his bellow. You could have mooed, or even barked, but a "moo"? Who could handle that!
"Stop mooing, you stupid bull. It's just a spider, what's there to be afraid of?"
After scolding Mr. Punch, Sun Busong's hands immediately produced a pair of axes. These were a pair of powerful Equipment he had recently crafted.
Mr. Punch's Battle Axe (Blue Gear) 2-star:
Item Level 82!
One-Handed Axe
69 - 130 Damage Speed 2.00
(DPS 49.8)
Durability 105 / 105
Requires Level 25
Chance on hit: Drain 48 to 54 Health from the enemy and transfer it to the caster.
Equip: Increases Hit Rating by 31.
This axe was a weapon that Tauren Punch Master had strongly requested be named after him.
It was also the first weapon Sun Busong had synthesized using Kill Points.
He had synthesized a total of 4. His pair were 2-star, and Mr. Punch had two 1-star ones.
These two axes completely surpassed purple Equipment of the same level. Although they lacked additional attribute values, their attack power was incredibly strong, and they had a lifesteal effect. The 31 hit rating also allowed Sun Busong to kill enemies ten levels higher than him.
"Follow the spider webs and kill it. I want to see what kind of creature has the guts to mess with my Tauren!"
Killing intent filled Sun Busong's face. Mr. Punch stopped mooing, squeezed the tears from his eyes, picked up his twin axes, and descended into the grass.
With Sun Busong backing him up, Mr. Punch feared nothing. Soon, the three of them found the audacious provocateur: a Carrion Lone Spider.
This type of monster is between undead and beasts. Their bodies have grown hundreds or even thousands of times larger than normal spiders. This Carrion Lone Spider is already the size of a calf, no wonder it dared to spit silk and grab Tauren's Heavy Fist.
Each of its eight spider legs is about two meters long, and its head is deformed, like a skull that has been gnawed clean of flesh. Black slime flows down its massive body, and the silk from its tail is still wrapped around Heavy Fist's leg.
"Cut it down!"
This thing looks disgusting. Sun Busong frowned and shouted at Heavy Fist.
"Ah!~~~"
Heavy Fist roared and charged forward with his axe. The opponent was not to be outdone, quickly striking back with its four front claws. However, its massive body was now a burden, greatly reducing its speed and agility. Before long, this Carrion Lone Spider was chopped into several pieces by Heavy Fist.
Looking at the corpse lying in a pool of slime, Sun Busong pinched his nose. "Let's go, get out of here. This thing has mutated. We need to find the source of the mutation and eliminate them completely."
"Yes!"
The three of them returned to the path and continued forward. Along the way, they encountered many black wolves, called Black Ravager Cubs, and some level 25 spiders, Small Black Widow Spiders.
Level 25 monsters were just at the limit for Sun Busong to gain Kill Points and health. After walking for over an hour, Sun Busong gained more than 100 health points and 50 Kill Points.
Ever since the second seal of the Slaughter Divine Artifact was broken, Sun Busong's Kill Points had been noticeably insufficient. Synthesizing a one-star Equipment required 300 Kill Points, and a two-star Equipment required 1200 points!
"Remember to pick up all the materials. Wolf meat and spider legs are good stuff, as are spider silk and wolf pelts."
"No problem, sir. You don't need to worry about such small matters. Leave it to us."
Sun Busong did not have the skills for mining, herb gathering, or skinning, so he had Heavy Fist and Usop learn them to facilitate his material gathering.
The three of them walked further along the night road, and soon a cluster of lights appeared in the distance.
"Sir, we're almost at Night Town."
It was already midnight, but the lights of Night Town were still bright. As they reached the fork in the road leading to Night Town, Sun Busong began to assign tasks to the two.
"Heavy Fist, go and rendezvous with the other Imperial Guards. I need intelligence from here. Usop, go find the Night Watchman and see if there's anything we can help with. I'll go find Mrs. Iva and see what a Ghost looks like! We'll meet here tomorrow morning."
"Received!"
After the two left, Sun Busong took out some Potions from his backpack for emergencies.
Following the route the old man had described and after asking around, Sun Busong quickly found Mrs. Iva's residence in town.
When he arrived, he saw that the three-story wooden building was located northwest of the town, right on the main street.
"A Ghost would live in a place like this? Are the Night Watchmen all useless?"
With a sense of doubt, Sun Busong entered Mrs. Iva's residence alone.
"Hello, what product do you need? We have everything here." As soon as he entered, a beautiful human woman greeted him. Sun Busong looked closely and realized it was a tailor shop, with various fabrics and dyes hanging inside.
"I'm not here to buy anything. Is Mrs. Iva living here? I was asked to find her."
The beautiful woman with wavy hair, named Sherry, called out to a room inside the shop, "Madam, someone is here to see you."
Soon after, Sun Busong saw this Mrs. Iva.
She was no Ghost at all, but a noblewoman with a sophisticated demeanor and elegant attire. She smiled slightly at Sun Busong and said, "I knew it! What reason would anyone have to buy things in the middle of the night? I haven't seen you before, young man. You're not from around here, are you? What can I do for you?"
Sun Busong smiled and bowed to her. "Forgive my intrusion. I am a mercenary who just arrived in this area today. I've come to find you because someone asked me to retrieve something from you."
"What is it?"
"Some Ghost Hair!" Sun Busong felt a little embarrassed even as he said it. Who would ask a tailor shop for Ghost Hair?
But her answer left him stunned.
"Ah, you mean Ghost Hair, don't you? I don't have any in stock anymore. However, if you can provide me with the hair of a Ghost, I can make some for you."
As Sun Busong walked out of the building, his mind was still questioning his eyes and ears.
Moreover, when he came to his senses, he realized he had received another quest from Mrs. Iva.
"There is a pitiful soul named Blind Mary. She haunts a farmstead on the small hill south of Night Town. Take this Ghost Comb, have Blind Mary comb her hair with it, and then bring the comb back. I can collect the needed Ghost Hair from it. Be careful, there are some terrifying things lurking in that house..."
Mrs. Iva didn't know that her words were already terrifying enough.
Since things had come to this, Sun Busong had no choice but to brace himself and proceed.
As expected, Ghosts wouldn't live in town. The route Mrs. Iva provided led to a graveyard dozens of miles away from Night Town!
"I knew I shouldn't have let those two split up from me. Fortunately, I brought Xiu Ma."
A whistle sounded, and within five minutes, a sturdy Black Lion arrived beside Sun Busong, extending its pink tongue to lick Sun Busong's face.
Xiu Ma, Level 25, Ordinary Grade, Growth Potential (8/10), Loyalty 100%. (Status: Happy)
Health: 855. Strength: 60. Agility: 60. Intelligence: 60. Spirit: 60. Stamina: 60. (Master Attribute Bonus: +5752 HP, +35 Strength, +8 Agility, +8 Intelligence, +5 Spirit, +5 Stamina.)
Sun Busong, Dwarf Warrior, Level 25.
Health: 57528!
Base Attributes: Strength +92 (+266 Free Attribute Points), Agility +61, Stamina +61, Intelligence +25, Spirit +25. Armor +5963.
Secondary Attributes: Damage 385-469. Speed 2.15. Intensity 1162. Hit Rating 61. Critical Strike Rate 31.99%. Precision 50.
"Let's go, Old Man will show you what a ghost looks like. I'm not scared, I'm bringing you along so you can see the world."
"Meow! 'w'"
With Xiu Ma here, he was no longer alone. He was a man with a lion.
They had arrived at the Tranquil Garden Cemetery in Night Town. Friends who came for sightseeing could cry now!
"I knew this place would be terrifying!"
They came to a three-way intersection. In the center of the intersection stood a giant old locust tree. The trunk was over forty meters thick, and the three sides of the tree bore signposts. One side read "Night Town," another "Yorgen Farm," and the last read "Tranquil Garden Cemetery."
The other two paths were gravel trails, but the path to the cemetery was only a narrow track worn by footsteps.
He led Xiu Ma forward for a while longer. The trees here became thicker, the path more rugged, and it was no longer a dirt road but a mountain path! Jagged rocks lined the sides, and in the distance, an old windmill creaked and groaned, with crows providing a chorus.
Xiu Ma also sensed something was wrong. This wasn't the way to go hunting; it looked more like a scene from Resident Evil!
Their judgment was correct!
After rounding a small rocky hill, the moonlight illuminated a rarely visited basin. Skeletons, carrying weapons, roamed about. Xiu Ma's teeth were chattering.
Rotting Terror Demon: Level 25 Undead. Low attack, low defense, extremely high scare factor.
Perhaps Xiu Ma had leaked their presence, or perhaps they hadn't hidden well enough. A few skeletons wielding swords lunged at them.
Let's do this! Fear is fear, but a man can't be a coward. Kill!
But once Sun Busong made his move, these frightening monsters became a joke. Not only could Sun Busong take them down with one axe each, but Xiu Ma could also kill one in three seconds.
All reactionaries are paper tigers! The great man said it perfectly.
In less than ten minutes, the man and his pet had eliminated all the Rotting Terror Demons in the area, about a dozen of them. After the monsters were cleared, a low wooden hut appeared before Sun Busong.
The door was ajar. Through the window and door cracks, he could see candlelight still burning inside. Sun Busong bravely pushed the door open gently.
"Get out!~Ah. Ah. Ah."
This voice was exactly as Sun Busong had imagined a ghost's voice would be. When he looked up towards the source of the sound, Xiu Ma had already collapsed and wet itself!
What scene greeted his eyes?
A ghost, nearly three meters tall, clad in thin white gauze, its body almost transparent, appeared on the ceiling.
Its claws were enormous, with finger lengths reaching a foot long. Its fingernails were as black as ink, its skin was greenish, and instead of maggots in the rotting flesh of its face, a faint green light emanated from within. Its eye sockets were empty, containing only a faint glow.
The white hair on its head fluttered without wind, each strand over a meter long, as tough as steel wire.
It was wearing what appeared to be an evening gown. Though the dress was tattered, its style was quite high-class: off-the-shoulder, a deep V-neck, and beyond that, nothing but holes and ribs.
If a person constantly faces challenges amidst fear, they eventually become desensitized to it.
That was Sun Busong's state right now. Although his heart had been pounding so fast it felt like it would leap out of his chest earlier, he wasn't afraid anymore. He simply stared at the other's face.
"Wooooooooh! Don't, don't look at me! I gouged out my own eyes, but I can still feel you looking at me!"
"I'm so ugly, so ugly! Please, turn your face away!!"
This ghost was actually begging him!
"Don't be afraid, I won't hurt you. I came here because I want some of your hair," Sun Busong boldly approached it, holding the comb Mrs. Eva had given him.
Who was more afraid of whom now?
"My hair has been stiff for a long time. Unless I die, it won't be pulled out."
Sun Busong held the comb he was holding above his head: "See what this is?"
"What is this? A comb? So cute!"
The large hand, nearly a meter long, gently picked up the comb in Sun Busong's hand and slowly combed its steel-like hair.
"It glides through my hair, making it feel less stiff and scary. Sigh, if only I had a mirror!"
Sun Busong stood at its feet, watching it slowly comb its hair. He felt no fear now, as if watching a beauty who was particularly concerned about her appearance, grooming herself in front of a mirror.
In a short while, the ghost's hand lowered. It looked at Sun Busong, and Sun Busong looked back at it.
"Take the comb back. I'm a monster, no one will ever say I look good again!"
"No! You look beautiful. You are a lovely and elegant lady."
Sun Busong had never had a girlfriend before, but the words he spoke now were the most capable of touching a woman's heart.
The ghost slowly descended. Soon, its appearance changed. In the blink of an eye, a beautiful young woman stood before Sun Busong.
Exquisite makeup, silver-like long hair, fair and tender skin, and a face of stunning beauty.
"Thank you for your compliment, stranger. As a reward for your kindness, I will give you a gift. My most precious treasure was a pair of glasses, but after something happened... I lost them behind the barn. A mad Ghoul used to roam that area. Perhaps it picked them up. Some say that wicked fellow has appeared in the Tranquil Garden Cemetery. Go! The glasses are yours."
"Thank you for your reward, beautiful lady!" Sun Busong gave her a gentleman's bow and then smiled as he retreated to the doorway, pulling Xiu Ma out by one leg.
After he had moved dozens of meters away from the small wooden hut, cold sweat broke out on his head. He let out a long sigh of relief.
This was a ghost whose level couldn't be checked, an existence without a health bar! What did no health bar mean? It meant it was immortal, unkillable!
Once he recovered his senses, he nudged the still-playing-dead Xiu Ma with his toe: "Enough, if you don't get up, I'm leaving you behind."
Whoosh! Xiu Ma resurrected on the spot!
There are still a few hours until dawn, and Sun Busong wants to return to Mrs. Iva's place to return the comb.
However, before that, he decided to find the treasure the ghost had rewarded him with. What if it was something good?
After killing dozens of Skeleton Soldiers, Sun Busong found this Ghoul, a guy with some flesh on him. A level 27 Ghoul died without even needing a second axe. Sun Busong gained three Kill Points and 2 HP.
When he picked up the dusty glasses case from beside the Ghoul's corpse, the case suddenly shattered, and a pair of glasses emitting a blue light appeared.
Mary's Glasses (Blue Gear): Use to see through the clothes and armor of targets!
These are evil glasses! Hehehehehe! Good deeds are rewarded.
The way back was faster than the way there. Half an hour later, Sun Busong arrived at the tailor shop.
"You saw Blind Mary? You're fast, young man!" Mrs. Iva was very happy to see Sun Busong holding the comb wrapped in ghost hair.
After taking the comb, she said to him, "I can make a spool of Ghost Hair for you with this, and I'll have a few left over. I'll consider these as payment for the thread."
Mrs. Iva went to make the spool, and Sun Busong, bored, went out to wander around town.
After waiting for about ten minutes, Mrs. Iva gave him the finished spool.
"Here's the thread you wanted. It has many uses, such as binding evil spirits or injecting life into inanimate objects! Take good care of it!"
Seeing Mrs. Iva solemnly hand him the thread, Sun Busong suspected she was exaggerating a bit.
It was already this late, and the horizon was already tinged with golden light. He hadn't slept all night.
"I'll sleep first and wait for them to come back before saying anything else!"
He slept until ten in the morning.
"Sir, they've all arrived. They're all waiting for you downstairs," Usop gently shook Master Sun Busong awake.
After washing up, Sun Busong ate while listening to a subordinate of the Imperial Guard report on recent events in Duskwood.
"Everything here feels strange. Something must be manipulating things behind the scenes. You eight continue to gather information. Remember not to alert them, and prioritize your own safety."
"Yes! Sir!" x8.
After the eight men left, Sun Busong asked Usop about the Night Watchmen. He decided he needed to find time to have a heart-to-heart with their commander.
"Sir, did you see the ghost yesterday?" After everything was arranged, Mr. Heavy Fist was curious and asked Sun Busong about the mission.
"I did. That ghost was incredibly beautiful, almost the most beautiful woman I've ever seen."
Sun Busong wasn't lying; the ghost, in its human form, was indeed very beautiful.
"I wish I had gone with you on the mission yesterday. What a shame, I didn't get to see a beauty." Heavy Fist's aesthetic taste was different from other Tauren; he also liked beautiful human women.
"Don't worry, I'll take you to see her again tonight. The ghost's home is there, it won't move," Sun Busong chuckled and gave Heavy Fist a strange look.
"So, what are we doing now?" Usop asked Sun Busong.
"First, we need to sort out the mount issue. Walking everywhere is too time-consuming."
"Okay, I know a place. I'll lead the way." Usop took on the task, and a nearby Tauren eagerly shouted, "I want one too! I want a mount too!"
Sun Busong and Usop simultaneously turned to look at him. Fortunately, the mounts here were horses. If it were the Dwarf territory, they would be goats! A Tauren riding a goat as a mount! What a sin!
Night Town rained year-round, and the three of them encountered rain as soon as they went out, but this little rain was nothing to them.
They walked along the road for over an hour, and the journey was relatively smooth.
While killing a few level 20-something solitary green spiders, the Tauren discovered an excellent spot for Sun Busong to level up.
This place was called Mistermanto Manor. Who knows where the people here used to go? Now, it was full of level 30 stinking Ghouls. They had over a thousand HP and could be taken down with two axes.
Each one was worth six Kill Points! Were there any more lovable monsters for farming points than these?
"Heavy Fist, remember this location. When we return, you find someone to inquire about the situation here. The monsters here have high HP and low defense, which will greatly help us level up."
"Yes!"
Their progress sped up significantly after that. They were too lazy to kill monsters that charged out from the roadside. Just as they were about to leave the Duskwood region, they saw a neutral Goblin merchant by the roadside.
"Time is money, my friend. I sell the best goods in the world!"
This was Sun Busong's first time seeing a neutral race.
"Then let's see what good things you have." Sun Busong had plenty of money now. Since he had encountered a Goblin merchant here, he had to take a look.
Upon arriving at the Goblin's stall, he found some good items. In ordinary shops, whether leather or cloth stores, there were almost all White Equipment, with a rare chance of green, and Blue Gear was impossible.
But here, there were several green-grade items, as well as some healing potions and mana recovery potions, and a level 30 leather Blue Gear.
What surprised Sun Busong the most was that there were actually two blueprints inside!
One was an Alchemy Blueprint for Holy Protection Potion, and the other was an Engineering blueprint for the Goblin Resuscitator!
This resuscitator had nothing to do with blue pills. It was a device used to save people whose life status had disappeared and who had stopped breathing. As long as it was within three minutes of death, this device could potentially revive a person.
However, there was a chance involved, probably one in ten thousand!
Sun Busong already had both blueprints. Not to mention these two, he knew blueprints that didn't even exist in this world. However, he still wanted to buy these two blueprints, as well as everything else on the stall.
Firstly, it was cheap. Secondly, these blueprints were one-time use and could only be learned by one person. The blueprints Sun Busong had for his Old Man were different from these. Sun Busong was Grandmaster Level, so he could create and optimize blueprints himself. These two blueprints could be given to Luffy for the guild members to learn, or sold at the next auction.
These items cost Sun Busong over 100 gold coins in total. The Goblin was overjoyed, and Sun Busong didn't think it was too expensive.
After parting ways with the goblin merchant, the three of them waded across a river. On the other side lay Elwynn Forest.
The monster levels in this area were too low, offering no real benefit upon defeat. The trio pressed on at their fastest pace.
"Sir, the East Valley Lumber Mill is just ahead. Should we go in directly, or...?"
Usop led the way, and within an hour, they had reached their destination.
"Of course, we go in directly! What's wrong?" Sun Busong asked, confused. Learning horsemanship felt more tense than stealing a horse.
"There's a Stormwind guard post up ahead. It might be fine for you, but Heavyfist and I caused trouble here before. We're afraid we'll be recognized."
Sun Busong rubbed his chin and glanced at the pair of tauren horns atop Heavyfist's head before blinking.
After thinking for a moment, he started searching his backpack and asked, "Heavyfist, I had you two learn mining and herbalism skills a while back. How did you do?"
"Reporting, sir, we're already intermediate!" x2.
"That's good. Here, put this on your head. Usop, you're not a tauren, so what are you worried about? Just smear some dirt on your face later to fool them."
What Sun Busong gave Heavyfist was an Engineering-crafted helmet. Not only did it look imposing, but it also had two pointed horns on top, perfectly concealing Heavyfist's own tauren horns!
Goblin Mining Helmet (Green Equipment):
Item Level 41
Head, Mail
290 Armor
+25 Stamina
Durability 60 / 60
Requires Level 24
Equip: +5 Mining skill.
Heavyfist took it and put it on immediately. It was perfect.
"Hahaha, this equipment is tailor-made for me! Thank you, sir!" The tauren was delighted. Now he didn't have to worry about being recognized.
"Any more concerns? Let's go!"
They could now faintly see the busy workers inside the lumber mill. Sun Busong walked ahead.
"I'm here to learn horsemanship. What are your rates?"
The riding trainer here was named Randall Hunter. He was just a level 10 civilian, but he was very skilled at teaching horsemanship. Everyone who came here to learn succeeded.
"I'm sorry, I only accept humans here. And we only have ordinary riding horses, not your Dwarf race's mountain goats."
The man spoke politely, but after all that, he still refused to teach or sell.
"Hey, how are you talking to our sir? Don't underestimate our sir just because he's only a level 25 Professional. He has a lot of authority and many subordinates. Go call your highest-ranking officer here to deal with us."
Heavyfist's Human language was fluent. He stepped forward to confront the trainer.
"Don't be angry. We also run classes, and we're happy to make money. However, we have a rule: we can only accept human students." Seeing a large man confronting her brother, his sister, Katie Hunter, who was grooming a horse nearby, hurried over.
Seeing the trainer's sister approach, Sun Busong's eyes lit up. Although Katie was wearing work clothes, it didn't detract from her beauty. She was a very pretty young woman.
"Hello, human little sister. We traveled for several days to get here to learn horsemanship. We're all allies, so there's no need to be so rigid. Besides, rules are dead, but people are alive. We need to be flexible."
As he spoke, Sun Busong moved closer to Katie.
"Hello, Dwarf friend. We understand you have difficulties. How about this: we'll go find the local security officer, and he can handle this issue."
"Okay, we'll wait here." Sun Busong had wanted to get closer to the young lady, but she was blind! Sun Busong had grown to 1.7 meters tall now, so he wasn't short at all!
A moment later, the local security officer came jogging over to Sun Busong.
"Hello, sir. I am the security officer here. I heard you've encountered some trouble. Is there anything I can help you with?"
This Haggard spoke with the standard human politeness: he was very courteous but didn't get anything done. His words were sweet to your face, but he'd stab you in the back!
Sun Busong had seen too many people like him. He directly threw a sentence at him.
"Just tell us if you want money or if you want us to do a job for you. Two of us are learning. Calculate the cost and do whatever makes you happy."
The security officer's smiling face twitched, but he was an old hand and quickly recovered.
"This brother is straightforward! Alright! Since you're so sincere, I'll state my terms?" He then smiled obsequiously at Sun Busong.
"Go ahead, it's fine. Since we've come this far, we're not worried about your terms."
Security Officer Haggard clapped his hands together, rubbed them, and exclaimed with a smile, "Refreshing! I like the straightforwardness of you Dwarves!"
Damn it!
After that, the Hunter siblings were no longer involved. The security officer invited the three of them inside, poured them tea, and then began complaining about various hardships.
In the end, Sun Busong and the other two were assigned three tasks.
First, he mentioned that the facilities at the lumber mill were severely aging, making the workers' efforts twice as hard for half the result. Maintaining and updating the devices required money...
Sun Busong couldn't listen any longer and threw a money pouch at him containing 100 gold coins.
He earned the other party's praise: Generous!
Recently, many workers have been complaining about being harassed by Murlocs living by the lake while they were bathing.
Sun Busong found this difficult to understand. He wondered why these Murlocs, with their fish heads, would bother to watch humans bathe and harass them.
"Heavy Fist, go and dismantle the Murloc tribe by the lake!"
"Yes, sir."
These Murlocs were only around level ten, but Heavy Fist was a formidable individual who had mastered the Tauren's War Stomp. If he could lure the Murlocs within ten yards of himself, one stomp would wipe them all out.
The last issue was also about the workers. It was said that many wolves and bears had appeared around the logging camp. These beasts didn't dare to attack the workers directly but instead targeted the dairy cows kept at the logging camp!
"Usop, go and eliminate these beasts. Remember to skin them; I have a use for the hides."
"Yes, sir."
After the two left, the sheriff tried to pry information out of Sun Busong and build a connection. However, Sun Busong felt disgusted by his insincere smile. He put his legs up on the desk and closed his eyes, ignoring the sheriff, who eventually chuckled awkwardly and left the room.
An hour later, Heavy Fist and Usop had completed their tasks. Next was the formal riding lesson.
Heavy Fist was taught by his brother, while Sun Busong, of course, had Miss Katie teach him. Even though she called Sun Busong a shorty, wasn't the hands-on instruction irresistible? They even shared a horse, with Katie in front and Sun Busong behind!
"Your waist is so thick, I can barely wrap my arms around you."
"I told you long ago, if you ride in front of me, I'll learn faster. Come on, lean into my embrace, hold onto my arms tightly, and let's run a few more laps! Giddy up~!"
After learning to ride, the sheriff generously gifted them two ordinary horses. Sun Busong originally wanted to buy some swift mounts, but upon inspecting the stables, he found only these common steeds. He had no choice but to give up.
"Sir, you can only buy very fast mounts after reaching level 40. You promised to take me to Thunder Bluff, and I want a Thunder Lizard then, hahaha!"
Heavy Fist riding a brown ordinary horse was a sight that was hard to bear – a Tauren on a horse!
"Don't worry, as long as you follow me closely, you'll have whatever you want then!"
"Haha, long live the boss!"
"Call me sir, how many times do I have to tell you to change that!"
"Long live, sir!"
"Hehehehe. A reward for you all!"
