Background / History
Zhunti originated as the Seven Treasures Bodhi Tree, one of two Supreme Grade Innate Spiritual Roots protected within the Green Lotus World-Purifying Glazed Array atop Mount Sumeru. His origin had been damaged during the Dao-Demon Conflict, making independent Form Transformation extraordinarily difficult. Before taking form, he and Jieyin believed they would inherit the West's spiritual treasures as beings favored by its destiny. 3
Randeng entered their array after refining it and proposed that the three establish the Western Teachings, revive the West, and help Zhunti and Jieyin attain Primordial Unity. Zhunti accepted that their shared mission was the revival of the West, while Randeng revealed that Zhunti's incomplete origin would need Merit to fully restore. 3 4
While Jieyin took form first, Zhunti remained in his Spiritual Root body, assisting the restoration of the Western Earth Veins. Randeng directed him to comb the surrounding Earth Vein network; Zhunti stated that his origin had recovered by more than half and could be completed through the Merit earned from restoring Mount Sumeru's Earth Vein core. 20
When the core was repaired, Zhunti received ten percent of the descending Golden Light of Merit. He used it to complete his origin and Form Transformed as a peak Taiyi Golden Immortal. 20
Following his transformation, Zhunti volunteered to travel and recruit capable beings for the West. By Randeng's later return, he and Jieyin had spread the Great Dao throughout the Western lands, developed Mount Sumeru, found Maitreya and Mahasthamaprapta, and both advanced to Grand Unity Golden Immortal. 22 41

Personality
Zhunti is eager, opportunistic, and openly interested in spiritual treasures. Before taking form, he confidently anticipated claiming the West's opportunities; after his transformation, he immediately looked to Randeng for the promised treasures. 3 21
He is also restless and highly teachable. When Randeng explained how to handle disputes over fated treasures, Zhunti repeatedly asked practical follow-up questions and quickly grasped the principle of comparing whose fate was greater. 6
Despite his impatience, Zhunti is committed to the West and to his fellow disciples. He accepted delaying his perfect transformation for the West's recovery, volunteered to travel in search of talent, and later offered to undertake the dangerous task of going to the Sun Star. 9 22 41
