The duels in Chaos ended as Xuande defeated Tongtian in a sword contest, while Laozi and Zhunti overcame Jieyin and Yuanshi through their respective Dao techniques. The victors returned their opponents’ treasures, and each defeated cultivator accepted the result while resolving to improve before meeting again.

• Tongtian and Xuande clashed with the Azure Firmament Sword and Three-Colored Dharma Sword until Xuande’s three Great Daos overcame Tongtian’s Heaven-Slicing Dao.
• Tongtian conceded, and Xuande returned the Immortal Slaying Four Swords to him; Tongtian promised to train and challenge Xuande again.
• Laozi used the Taiji Diagram to evolve Yin-Yang into the Four Symbols, Bagua, and all things, infiltrating Jieyin’s defenses until Jieyin conceded.
• Laozi suggested that Jieyin’s Nirvana Dao could become stronger through rebirth after nirvana, giving Jieyin a new direction to consider.
• Zhunti’s Thirty-Six Heavens continually changed their laws and supplied inexhaustible power, eventually letting the Seven Treasures Wonderful Tree break through Yuanshi’s defense.
• Yuanshi conceded to Zhunti but said he would study the heavens’ cycles to find a way to counter them.

After the Western Sect won the three contests and claimed the Creation Azure Lotus, Xuande returned to Mount Sumeru and began a long seclusion to incorporate it into his Three Lotuses Dao. Jieyin and Zhunti stayed behind to guard the Western Sect as Xuande’s refinement began.

• Houtu and Nuwa confirmed the Western Sect’s victory and awarded the Creation Azure Lotus to Xuande, while Hongjun silently accepted the outcome.
• The Three Pure Ones conceded and departed for Kunlun Mountain, and Xuande, Jieyin, and Zhunti returned openly to Buzhou Mountain as the Primordial Wilderness learned of their victory.
• Xuande, Jieyin, and Zhunti removed the remaining restriction around the stone shrine, and Xuande took the Creation Azure Lotus and sealed its aura.
