Background

Nuwa was the Wa Huang of the Demon Race Heavenly Court, while her elder brother Fuxi served as Xi Huang. Unlike Fuxi, whose loyalty to the Heavenly Court ran deep, Nuwa treated her position as a cooperative arrangement rather than a binding allegiance. As Di Jun's rule grew increasingly overbearing, the siblings became increasingly detached from the Heavenly Court's path 9 51.

During the conflict surrounding the Sky-Opening Divine Axe, Nuwa agreed to fight only after securing freedom for both herself and Fuxi. From that point onward, Wa Huang and Xi Huang would owe no further karma to the Heavenly Court 126. She later confirmed that they had become free individuals, with Fuxi retaining only his identity as an Innate Deity and Green Emperor of the Yao Race 140.

Her pursuit of the Creation Great Dao led her beyond the creation of ordinary life. She created the Tengshe Clan, restored the dead through Mysterious Creation, and constructed the Wa Huang Realm, but none of these achievements initially revealed the ultimate path of Creation 143 168 205. Her eventual realization was that she needed to create an entirely new race capable of replacing the Witch and Yao Clans as the mainstream beings of Heaven and Earth 213.

Personality

Nuwa is impatient with restraint and has a strong inclination toward action. While traveling with Fuxi, she admitted that stillness had made her restless; when he continued lecturing her, she silently used the Art of Closed Hearing and pretended to listen 37.

She is highly calculating and does not hesitate to arrange events around her own cultivation goals. Her plan to revive the dead was designed to evolve her Creation Great Dao despite the Heavenly Dao's punishment, leading Houtu to praise her calculations as unmatched 168 169.

Despite this pragmatism, Fuxi is an unmistakable exception. Nuwa repeatedly supports his path toward becoming the Human Emperor, accompanies his reincarnation with a clone, grants him merit, and uses her avatar Feng Ling to complete the Human Dao's marriage rites 298 302 323.

Her ultimate priority remains the Great Dao. After the Human Dao dispute, she states that her heart holds only the Dao and expresses her desire to explore worlds beyond the Primordial World 334.
