Ghost Child Is Here-Run!

Jiang Chen could clearly feel that the eye was smiling.

There was something eerie about that smile.

And he seemed to have arrived somewhere completely unfamiliar.

It was dark all around him. Countless eyes opened in the darkness.

They stared at Jiang Chen with deathly gazes.

What kind of place was this?

He had just been eating at a restaurant. How had he suddenly ended up here?

Jiang Chen somehow found a Zanpakuto in his hand. He warily surveyed his surroundings.

Every nerve in his body was taut.

If anything seemed off, he could strike first.

"You've been set up!"

It was Omniscient speaking.

"What?"

"How could I have been set up?"

Jiang Chen didn't understand.

"I don't know either. At some point, someone planted a hidden mark on you and deliberately sent you to another world."

"I only just noticed and was about to warn you, but you'd already been transported here."

Jiang Chen gripped his Zanpakuto tightly and silently vowed to find whoever had set him up.

Once he escaped this place,

"How do I get out of here?"

As they spoke,

He sniffed, then said, "Someone's tampered with you."

As he spoke, Ghost Child moved his hand, and a talisman-like formation appeared in his palm.

"To dare target someone this great lord has taken a liking to—you've got some nerve!"

With that, Ghost Child gave his hand a gentle squeeze, crushing the formation in his palm.

He looked at Jiang Chen again and asked, "Do you need help?"

"I need to leave here. I can handle everything else myself."

"Heh!" Ghost Child chuckled. "Human, you really are interesting."

"You're the first human to refuse my help."

"For that courage of yours, I'll lend you my magical artifact to take revenge. It'll guide you to the person who wants to harm you."

As he spoke, Ghost Child tossed the skull in his hand to Jiang Chen.

Jiang Chen instinctively wanted to refuse.

Carrying around a skull would be downright weird.

Besides, he was very much alive.

Still, he caught it.

Omniscient reminded him in his inner world not to anger Ghost Child.

He was the only one who could take Jiang Chen away.

"Human, take my magical artifact and walk straight ahead. You'll return to your original world."

"I wish you the best of luck."

With that, Ghost Child yawned and left.

Jiang Chen followed Ghost Child's instructions and walked forward.

The path ahead grew narrower and brighter,

until the world before his eyes suddenly lit up.

He found himself high above his city.

By then, the sky had darkened.

Lights shone throughout the city.

Neon signs and moving vehicles were visible everywhere.

He leaped downward and landed steadily on the ground.

Just then, he heard the Fatty's voice.

"Brother Chen, I ate a bit too much today. Slow down! Where are you taking me?"

Fatty!!!

Jiang Chen turned and saw Fatty talking to someone.

He was calling him Brother Chen.

Jiang Chen found it strange.

Did Fatty call someone else Brother Chen?

He'd known Fatty for three years. How had he never known?

When he took a closer look, he was stunned. Fatty was walking beneath the night breeze with someone who looked exactly like him.

Fatty had an arm around "Jiang Chen," calling him Brother Chen over and over.

What on earth was going on?

Before Jiang Chen could figure it out, he noticed that the skull in his hand had lit up.

Ghost Child's voice came from its mouth.

"Human, I sense that the person who set you up is nearby. Look around. Does anyone have a skull-shaped Seal on them?"

Jiang Chen looked carefully.

He spotted a skull-shaped Seal on the back of the person who looked exactly like him.

Who was he? Why had he set Jiang Chen up, and why was he pretending to be him?

Jiang Chen's mind filled with question after question.

But he had no answers.

"Human, do you need help?"

"Thanks, I can handle this myself!!!"

Ghost Child fell silent for a moment, then replied, "Then I wish you luck!"

After he finished speaking, the skull in Jiang Chen's hand disappeared.

Jiang Chen followed Fatty.

He asked Omniscient, "Omniscient, what exactly is going on?"

"To learn the truth, I'll have to draw on your soul power," Omniscient replied.

"Fine!"

After Jiang Chen had used up nearly half his soul power, he asked, "Can you tell me now?"

"All right. I'll tell you the whole truth!"
