Background / History
Qingxiao Sect was founded by Qingxiao True Person, whose disciple Lin Xunfeng later inherited the sect. By the time Lin Xunfeng departed to seek immortality, the once-grandly named sect had dwindled to seven disciples and only three courtyards. He appointed Eldest Senior Brother Li Qingqiu as the new Sect Master and left him the Dao Lineage. 1 136
Under Li Qingqiu, the sect shifted from a loose group of martial artists into an organized institution. He introduced regular planning meetings, encouraged disciples to develop distinct martial paths, and treated immortal cultivation disciples as the sect’s elite. 13 Recruitment, public performances, paid commissions, and an agreement with the Qin family helped solve its early shortage of funds and supplies. 9 15
The sect’s reputation rose sharply after surviving attacks by major martial factions and subsequently destroying the Azure Cult. Its disciples—especially Jiang Zhaoxia and Xu Ning—became renowned throughout the martial world. 62 Qingxiao Sect later developed beyond a martial organization: Li Qingqiu explicitly began reshaping it into a cultivation sect devoted to immortality rather than fame and profit. 109
After the fall of the old imperial order, Qingxiao Sect avoided directly backing contenders for the throne until Liu Jing was permitted to perform the Heavenly Sacrifice on Qingxiao Mountain. The establishment of the Xuan Dynasty formally placed the Nine Provinces under Qingxiao Sect’s religious and cultivation authority. 266 269

- Dark Hall and Immortal Guard — Later components of the sect’s system of checks and balances. 225
Cultivation and Training
Qingxiao Sect’s core transformation rests on the Primordial Scripture, which enabled disciples such as Jiang Zhaoxia and Xu Ning to achieve exceptional growth. The sect gradually moved away from treating martial arts as its ultimate goal, teaching disciples to pursue immortality through Origin Energy, spells, spiritual sense, and Spiritual Power. 65 109
- Regular meetings and hall administration allow the sect to function even during Li Qingqiu’s seclusion. 13 152
- Disciples receive rewards for cultivation breakthroughs, missions, contributions, recovered materials, and heavenly treasures. 37 152 194
- The sect holds recurring magic combat tournaments to distribute resources, publicize its strength, and build cohesion among disciples. 141 271
- By the second tournament, Yun Cai reaches the Spiritual Sense Realm, while Ji Ya becomes the sect’s third Spiritual Sense Realm cultivator. 284
- Zhao Zhen becomes the first publicly recognized Spiritual Power disciple and the sect’s fourth Spiritual Sense Realm cultivator. 265
Equipment and Resources
- Heavenly Rainbow Sword — Li Qingqiu’s sword and a symbol of sect authority; he lends it to Xu Ning as a Sect Master’s token. 65
- Qingxiao Sword — Mass-produced magical sword distributed first to true disciples and later to inner disciples. It enhances sword techniques, reinforces sword energy, enables spellcasting, and reduces Origin Energy expenditure during sword flight. 219 220
- Qingxiao Token — A developing sect artifact intended to gain tracking functions through Heavenly Works Hall research. 285
- Spirit Lake — An underground source of spiritual energy discovered through Fortune Inheritance. 5
- Spirit mine — Located roughly three hundred li from Qingxiao Sect; intended to support an external stronghold. 62
- Spirit Copper Mountain Range — Supplies spirit copper for magical-artifact forging. 189 190
- Tianshan Spirit Pool — Blessed land obtained through Li Qingqiu’s fortune opportunity. 191
- Thousand Spirit Blessed Land — Controlled cultivation site whose spiritual energy must be rationed among disciples. 159
- Sky Mending Great Array — High-level Spirit Gathering Array requiring Earth Guiding Spirit Stones to encompass the Tai Kun Mountain Range. 289
Guardian Beasts and Yao
- Xiao Ba — Giant eagle and Yao companion of Li Qingqiu; cultivates the Primordial Scripture, reaches Nourishing Yuan Realm Layer 4, and shares a mental connection with him. 114
- Kirin — Found injured by Li Sifeng; regarded by Li Qingqiu as an auspicious creature that could bring fortune to the sect. 62
- Hell Kirin — One of the sect’s concealed supernatural assets, revealed to senior members during a high-level meeting. 141
- Bai Zhi, Jinlang, and other Yao — Four Yao recruited by Li Qingqiu and integrated into the sect after swearing submission. 184
Reputation and Policies
Qingxiao Sect built public support by healing illnesses, providing disaster relief, removing bandits, and aiding victims of injustice. It charges poor and helpless people little or nothing, while accepting voluntary payment from those able to provide it. 55 149
Its benevolent reputation coexists with an uncompromising approach to threats. The sect has annihilated hostile martial organizations, issued missions against rival sects, and punished internal violations such as Zhou Ya’s unauthorized branch sect. 152 180 This combination leads some observers to regard Qingxiao Sect as righteous protectors and others as an increasingly domineering power. 88 202
- Noble families seek Qingxiao Sect disciples as guards, instructors, and political connections due to the sect’s prestige. 142
- The sect refuses to become a tool in secular succession struggles, judging potential rulers by whether they can bring peace and respect Qingxiao Sect. 152 191
- Li Qingqiu instructs disciples not to leave the Nine Provinces during trials and to prioritize cultivation over expansion. 238
- The sect’s dominance creates concern that future leadership could wield its immense power cruelly, despite Li Qingqiu’s current reputation for benevolence. 289
