Background & History

Diamante was already one of the Donquixote Family's highest cadres when Senor Pink brought Abel and Luo before Doflamingo. He stood alongside Trebol during their first audience with the captain. 17

When Doflamingo allowed the two White Town survivors to prove themselves, Diamante and Trebol were assigned to test them. Diamante dismissed the boys as weak, armed them with short knives, and easily repelled their attacks. 18

Luo's grenade attack and Abel's subsequent trap forced Diamante to use his Devil Fruit defense, humiliating him in front of Doflamingo. Enraged, he kicked Abel with near-lethal force; Doflamingo had to order him to stop. 19 20

After Abel and Luo became trainees, Diamante was ordered to teach them swordsmanship. His instruction was severe and often cruel, though he gradually recognized both boys' determination and potential. 30 31

During the Donquixote Family's retaliation against the Skunk Pirates, Diamante helped Trebol defend the Flamingo from three pirate ships. He destroyed one ship outright with his sword technique, Half Moon Funeral, then helped eliminate the surviving captains. 37 38
