Background

Lynn is a transmigrated adult soul living in an eleven-year-old body. He moved to London and lived largely alone under an unusual conditional adoption arrangement after the deaths of his parents. At around ten, he secured his independence from his foster father by leveraging evidence of the man’s embezzlement and negotiating for control over his inheritance. 1 6

Before entering Hogwarts, Lynn met his neighbor Hermione Granger while caring for stray cats. Their friendship began through feeding the cats, though Lynn soon exploited Hermione’s trust by inventing an “evil organization” to persuade her to maintain his house during his absence. 1 4

Professor McGonagall personally informed Lynn of his Hogwarts acceptance after he fed her while she was in tabby-cat form. The encounter also revealed the system within him, which rewards genuine praise, completed quests, titles, and magical development. 2 3

Lynn later learned that Belloc was not his true family name. His parents were murdered by Auror Ivanov when Lynn was an infant, but they hid him before their deaths, allowing the last known Lunjade survivor to live. This revelation prompted Lynn to pursue Ivanov for information and revenge. 163

Appearance

Lynn has grayish-blond hair that is often left untidily combed. Outside Hogwarts robes, he favors ordinary, comfortable casual clothing. 198

  • Grayish-blond hair. 198
  • Usually appears composed and polite before Muggles, even when concealing his magical identity. 198
  • Can alter his appearance through Transfiguration and impersonation, including disguising himself as Hermione Granger and Professor Lockhart. 236 283

Personality

Lynn is calculating, observant, and highly pragmatic. As a child, he manipulated both his foster father and Hermione to obtain security or convenience, and he readily uses deception when he considers it useful. 4 6 He is also unusually shameless when pursuing improvement, openly begging McGonagall for further praise after discovering that it strengthened his Transfiguration. 3

Despite his manipulative streak, Lynn is deeply protective of people he considers his own. He safeguards Hermione while being hunted, assists friends such as Cedric and Ian, and pursues strength because he believes individual power is essential to self-protection. 39 122 454 His broader ambition is not merely personal advancement; he seeks enough influence to reshape the wizarding world and Hogwarts according to his own vision. 340 527
