History
Pangu split the primordial chaos to create heaven and earth. Mortally wounded, he became the substance of the new world: his eyes became the sun and moon, his spine became Buzhou Mountain, and his blood became its rivers. Innumerable years later, the Primordial Wilderness supported countless Innate Races 1.
The Dragon-Han Great Tribulation ended with the Dragon, Phoenix, and Qilin clans retreating. Their ancestors vowed to guard the Four Seas’ sea eyes, the Immortal Volcano, and the Primordial Wilderness respectively, bearing responsibility for their clans’ karmic debts 2. Later, Luohu’s destruction of the western spiritual veins left much of the West barren 14.
The Witch Clan expanded across the Great Earth while Di Jun and Taiyi gathered races under their protection. Di Jun subsequently established the Demon Race in the starry sky, and the Heavenly Dao bestowed merit upon its leaders 37 52. As the conflict intensified, Demon Race elites relocated to the stars, leaving weaker tribes exposed to Witch Clan rule on the earth 84 85.

- The world’s laws govern its heaven and earth; cultivators comprehend those laws to advance. Beyond the world’s barrier, chaos operates differently and is dangerous even to Innate Divine Beings 27 32.
- Cultivation draws on the world’s spiritual energy, opportunities, and fortune. Donghua identifies a Heavenly Dao shackle against cultivators taking those resources and then departing without giving back; merit earned by benefiting heaven and earth helps overcome it 27.
- The Heavenly Dao grants merit for deeds such as slaying beasts that damage the world and restoring corrupted land. Merit from Donghua’s campaign in the Extreme North also nourished its shattered earth veins 27 31.
- Hongjun merged with the Heavenly Dao to perfect it and guard the Primordial World’s foundation 61.
