Power Progression

Stage / Realm / Level Chapter Notes
Great Luo 11 Sustains the Primordial Chaos Luo River Great Formation against Donghua, but its prolonged operation heavily drains his Magic Power and Divine Sense. 11
Quasi-Saint 52 Heavenly merit descends when the Demon Race is established, allowing Di Jun and its leading founders to break through. 52

Background

Di Jun is an Innate Divine Being born from the Sun Star Origin. He commands Solar True Fire and can manifest a Three-legged Golden Crow Dharma Appearance. The Fusang Tree's emergence drew him to Tang Valley because its Lesser Yang Origin could be used to comprehend the Lesser Yang Dao and advance his cultivation. 10

His attempt to claim the Fusang Tree brought him into direct conflict with Donghua. Di Jun initially offered compensation, but turned hostile when Donghua demanded the Sun Star Origin in exchange. Their battle ended with Donghua breaking the Primordial Chaos Luo River Great Formation and severely wounding Di Jun; Taiyi's arrival prevented Donghua from finishing him. 10 12 13

Despite this defeat, Di Jun and Taiyi built a reputation among the Myriad Races by aiding peoples attacked by the Witch Clan. Many races subsequently submitted to them out of gratitude or fear, establishing the political base from which Di Jun founded the Demon Race. 17

Appearance

Di Jun commonly appears as a middle-aged Daoist in golden or gilded robes, surrounded by Solar True Fire. His bearing is repeatedly described as imperial and commanding. 10 33

  • Manifests a heaven-spanning Three-legged Golden Crow Dharma Appearance. 10
  • Wears a Mystic Golden Crow Robe in battle. 10
  • Has molten-gold eyes and golden facial patterns that intensify when angered. 71
  • Bears the Demon Emperor’s crown after founding the Demon Race. 52

Personality

Di Jun is proud, overbearing, and highly sensitive to perceived disrespect. Donghua’s refusal to yield the Fusang Tree and later suggestion to “let Taiyi come” both provoke intense anger because they challenge his authority as Lord of the Sun Star and leader of the Demon Race. 10 71

He is also a calculating political leader. He recognizes the Witch Clan as a threat to the Myriad Races, gathers allies through protection and submission, and organizes the Demon Race into a formal hierarchy. He is willing to accept temporary setbacks when necessary, as shown when he retreats from Donghua over Ziwei’s remains because he may need Donghua’s assistance later. 17 52 72

Di Jun’s ambition is tempered by genuine concern for Taiyi and the Demon Race. After Taiyi fails to stop Donghua, Di Jun prioritizes his younger brother’s safety over the defeat. His later decisions consistently frame personal conflicts as matters of Demon Race survival and supremacy. 13 71 111

Abilities & Skills

Solar True Fire

Di Jun wields Solar True Fire through his Golden Crow Origin, producing heat intense enough to boil seas, distort space, and suppress opponents with overwhelming solar pressure. 10 71

  • Golden Crow Replaces Heaven — temporarily veils the Sun Star and draws its power onto himself, creating a new source of blazing light. 10
  • The technique’s reliance on the Sun Star can be countered; Donghua’s First Sun Dawns restores the Sun Star’s light and cuts off Di Jun’s empowerment. 10
  • His Golden Crow origin enables the Art of Rainbow Transformation, used to escape a fatal situation during the war. 117

Formation Mastery

Di Jun is a skilled formation user whose treasures and command of stellar power allow him to employ large-scale battle arrays. 11 117

  • Primordial Chaos Luo River Great Formation — formed through the River Diagram and Luo Script; it transforms the surrounding sea and stars into a sealed battlefield. 11
  • He strengthened this formation by sacrificing a drop of Golden Crow essence blood, but the exertion exposed the formation’s core and left him weakened. 12
  • Zhou Tian Star Dou Great Formation — activated alongside Fuxi and the Demon Race, using descending stars and formation banners to envelop the Witch Clan. 117 118
  • The formation is powerful enough to contend with the Twelve Dutian God Fiend Great Formation, but is ultimately shattered by the Pangu True Body’s second axe strike. 118 119

Demon Emperor’s Leadership

Di Jun unites disparate races through political maneuvering, military protection, and a structured hierarchy. 17 51 52

  • Establishes the Demon Race for all intelligent feathered, scaled, and beastly spirits. 51
  • Enfeoffs Taiyi as Eastern Emperor, Fuxi as Xi Huang, and Nuwa as Wa Huang. 52
