The chase continued after Moryo slaughtered the Kumogakure squad, and an Akatsuki swordsman led Sasuke onward while leaving Shinnō to face Shinji's team.

• The Iwagakure Execution Squad confronted Sasuke, but an Akatsuki member blocked their pursuit as Shinji led his squad after Sasuke and Shinnō.
• Sasuke and Shinnō encountered Kumogakure Ninja, and Moryo arrived and killed most of them with his tentacles.
