Shinji’s allies trained and fought while the villages investigated Akatsuki’s divided factions and weighed Itachi’s intelligence. As the Overlord of Fear breached the Shinobi World, Shinji prepared to accelerate his plans, and a clash involving Susanoo interrupted the Kage Summit.

• Yakumo recognized Shinji as A, accepted his explanation, and arranged a spar with Karin while learning that Karin was B and Haku was C.
• Tsunade’s leaders examined Itachi’s intelligence about Akatsuki, while Kakuzu and Hidan captured the demonized Muku and sealed him in a scroll.
• Naruto defeated Sasuke in a spar after revealing his mastery of Nine-Tails Chakra Mode, and Sasuke left determined to surpass him.
• Yakumo and Karin fought at the coast until Karin tracked Ido and used her sealing chains to defeat Yakumo, after which Shinji revealed his identity to them.
• Jiraiya and Kakashi investigated the ruined coast, where witnesses reported that Akatsuki members B and D had fought using Wood Release.
• Shinji trained Nameless in the Twelve Palaces, discovered the technique could harm the nervous system, and developed a safer method that Shion began learning.
• Shion foresaw a crisis, and Shinji told Nameless that the Overlord of Fear had breached the world’s defenses and considered starting the war early.
• The Four Kage gathered in Konoha to discuss Itachi’s report, then Kirigakure’s delegation arrived after reporting Akatsuki infighting and witnessed Susanoo shatter the Ice Crystal Bodhisattva’s arm.

The Five Kage declared war on the Akatsuki, whose counterattacks overwhelmed Allied Forces across the Shinobi World. As Konoha came under assault from the Sky Ninja and Orochimaru, Sasuke fell to Kabuto while the Third confronted Orochimaru.

• Mei Terumi’s forces retreated from B’s battlefield, and the Five Kage learned that C, D, and E had pursued him before agreeing to Shinji’s plan to exploit Akatsuki infighting.
• The Five Kage unanimously voted to go to war against the Akatsuki, while Tanjiro killed and devoured wandering shinobi in the Land of Demons.
• Orochimaru summoned Madara Uchiha and agreed to cooperate with Obito, who ordered the Akatsuki to prepare for war against the villages.
• Shinji and other shinobi tested simulated Akatsuki opponents in Takamagahara, then Allied Forces destroyed numerous Akatsuki bases across the Shinobi World.
• Moryo and Shinnō defeated the Allied Forces at Snow Peak, and Shion confronted Moryo while Haku faced Shinnō.
• More than ten thousand White Zetsu Clones infiltrated Allied Forces camps as Akatsuki attacks spread, and the Sky Ninja remnants bombed Konoha.
• Shinji sent Kimimaro and Neji after the retreating Sky Ninja, while Orochimaru and Kabuto entered Konoha with the Impure World Bodies of the First, Second, and Fourth Hokage.
• Kabuto incapacitated Sasuke with White Stimulus Technique, while the Third let Orochimaru wound him and summoned the grim reaper.

After the Third Hokage died, Shinji defeated Danzo’s bid for power, took control of Konoha, and used Kotoamatsukami to turn Orochimaru into an asset. As the Allied Forces struggled against Akatsuki attacks across several fronts, Tanjiro hunted new targets and headed toward Grass Country.

• The Third died after Kabuto Yakushi interrupted his Reaper Death Seal, and Orochimaru went to the Military Police headquarters to take Shinji’s Mangekyō Sharingan.
• Nameless fought Orochimaru’s group while Toneri attacked the Hyuga Clan, took Hiashi’s Byakugan, and escaped as the masked man and Kabuto raced past him.
• Danzo tried to seize authority, but Shinji’s forces defeated his Root operatives, arrested him, and exposed the Sharingan and First Hokage cells implanted in his body.
• Shinji kept Danzo alive and chained to a tree, then captured Orochimaru’s group and learned that Obito had sent Orochimaru to eliminate him.
• Shinji used Kotoamatsukami to make Orochimaru loyal, but Orochimaru later broke his seals and escaped with Kabuto, Guren, Tayuya, and Jugo.
• Tanjiro absorbed Narume and gained the Infinite Castle Blood Demon Art, while Akatsuki members captured the Fourth Mizukage and the Five Kage prepared the Seed Plan.
• After the Box of Paradise monster attacked the Grass Country camp, Kakashi led Ryūsetsuna, Chiyo, and allied reinforcements there, while Tanjiro turned toward Grass Country.

The Allied Forces and Akatsuki fought Tanjiro after he returned as Upper Moon One and drew them into the Infinite Castle. Tanjiro’s body vanished after the Hokage overwhelmed him, but the Overlord manifested Orochimaru’s fear as Itachi, leaving Shinji to consider how to use the apparition against the Overlord.

• Kakashi divided the Allied Forces to fight Akatsuki and search for Muku, while Ryūsetsuna reunited with him and learned he had become Gō under Kakuzu’s control.
• Chiyo and the Allied Forces battled Akatsuki as Ryūsetsuna and Mui helped seal Satori and bring Muku back, but Upper Moon One stabbed Muku and Tanjiro appeared to absorb him.
• Tanjiro transported the nearby fighters into the Infinite Castle, where he killed Ringo Ameyuri and Chojuro, wounded Darui, and fought the Allied Forces and Akatsuki as they joined forces against him.
• Yakumo identified fear as the source of Tanjiro’s growing power, but Tanjiro broke free of her seal and used the Infinite Castle to pull Muku toward him before Deidara’s Clay Bomb exploded inside Muku.
• Kakashi sent Muku away with Kamui as Tanjiro fled the castle, and Shinji ordered Ido to pursue him and declared that he must die.
• Orochimaru confronted Tanjiro and summoned the four Hokage, who attacked him inside the Four Violet Flames Formation until Hashirama pinned him with the Gates of the Great God and the Hokage sealed him.
• Tanjiro dissolved into black smoke, which manifested as Uchiha Itachi and pursued Orochimaru, while the Allied Forces found no trace of Tanjiro’s body.
• Shinji watched Itachi confront Orochimaru and suspected the Overlord had mistaken Orochimaru for the Lantern Bearer, then prepared to test whether the apparition could be killed as Neji and Maro arrived in Rain Country.
