A Village Full of Assassins? The Signal
Inside the ramen shop.
What do we do now?
Two ordinary-looking men were looking at an ordinary-looking woman beside them.
"Let's wait. The fact that they've all gathered in these streets and alleys and haven't launched an attack yet means there must be some pre-arranged signal."
The woman said calmly.
The three were none other than Feng An's Wood Clone and Tsunade.
"Boss, two more eggs, please."
"Okay."
Tsunade: "??"
"You still have the mood to add eggs at a time like this?"
Why not?
Kanami said calmly.
"Does omitting eggs really allow us to find the mole among these people?"
"Your egg."
"Thanks."
Kanami expressed his gratitude.
One was given to the nearby Kanami Two.
The two were of one mind.
Whether they want an egg or not, they know perfectly well without even having to talk.
"Since you said there might be a signal, let's wait."
After finishing a mouthful of ramen, Kanami's powerful sensory abilities were already spreading out.
Unbeknownst to everyone, Kanami's senses had already covered the entire Land of Fire.
"How about we just use the process of elimination?"
Kanami Two seemed to have thought of something and spoke up.
"The process of elimination?"
Tsunade was puzzled.
"It's you," Kanami Two pointed at Tsunade, "Which villages did you invite? Kill all the other Ninja who appeared in Konoha besides those villages."
"That definitely won't work. What if some of them are just here to take a look?"
Tsunade frowned.
But even she couldn't convince herself with that explanation.
How could an uninvited village dare to casually come and visit Konoha?
And they were only allowed in with invitations.
Even if they really came to Konoha for a visit, where did they get those invitations bearing the mark of the Land of Fire?
It's easy to imagine that even those small villages that people "casually visit" are definitely not just there for a casual look.
It's highly likely they want to decide whether to side with the Feudal Lord or Konoha based on the situation.
"You probably don't even believe that yourself."
Kanami said calmly.
"These fence-sitters claim they don't stick to either side, but to put it another way, they're both fence-sitters, so they deserve to die."
"Then let's do it."
Both Kanami agreed.
"No," Tsunade. "If we do that, Konoha will become the dominant village, and the other remaining villages will worry about whether we will attack them."
"So what? We'll kill them if they come. Which villages did you invite?"
Kanami stared intently at Tsunade.
After a long silence, Tsunade finally spoke, "I only invited the small villages around the Land of Fire, those villages with few or no Ninja. As for anything further away, it's just Sunagakure."
"What?" Kanami frowned. "Only this many villages were invited?"
"Yes, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to discover the anomaly inside the village so easily, and the Feudal Lord probably wouldn't have told me about his plan."
"So, it's pretty much certain that the village's Ninja came to kill me."
Kanami smiled.
He was initially a little worried about accidentally hurting those who came to congratulate him, but now it seems that most of them just wanted to see him make a fool of himself.
"Let's go, let's begin, Blood Runs Like a River."
Tsunade wanted to say something more, but Kanami had already simultaneously activated the Flying Thunder God Technique and disappeared from the spot.
He had no intention of taking her along at all.
"Hmm? Where are the two of them?"
Teuchi Ichiraku stared blankly at the two empty seats in front of him, his gaze finally settling on Tsunade.
"You were with them, right? You paid the money."
Tsunade turned around as soon as she stood up. "Okay, how much?"
"Three bowls of ramen, two with eggs, totaling 140 taels."
Upon hearing Tsunade began reaching into her pockets.
After searching her entire body, she realized that she had rushed out without bringing her wallet!
"Um, I forgot my wallet, can I buy on credit?"
"What??" Teuchi Ichiraku pointed to the small print at the bottom of the menu next to him.
"We don't offer credit here. You're staying to wash the dishes!"
"I am a dignified --"
Tsunade's words came to an abrupt halt as she realized that she had used the Transformation Jutsu, meaning she wasn't the Hokage at all!
The boss in front of me didn't even recognize me!
"You're utterly useless! Ayame! Grab her! She's trying to dine and dash!"
Soon, another girl carrying a rolling pin rushed out from the inner room, shouting, "What! You dare to dine and dash in Konoha!"
"Sorry, I have something urgent to attend to. I'll make up the 140 taels next time I come!"
After Tsunade finished speaking, she took a step back and instantly leaped into the air.
Teuchi Ichiraku's face darkened. "Damn Ninja! I'm going to create a world where no one eats for free!"
"Kanami's Wood Clone seems even more of a scoundrel than Kanami himself!"
Tsunade.
She weaved quickly through the streets and alleys, trying to catch up with Kanami.
But Kanami's speed was far beyond her reach.
Meanwhile, Kanami had already ascended to high altitudes above Konoha.
"Go outside the village and kill all the Ninja still heading this way. We already sensed their presence. Did you really think you could keep your head down and not be discovered?"
"Well, I'll leave this to you. A blood-stained wedding is one kind of memorable wedding, too."
"Whoosh--!"
Kanami Two suddenly flew out.
Meanwhile, Feng An One hovered high in the sky, silently observing the people around it.
"A signal? I'd like to see how the signal from the Daimyo of the Land of Wind will appear."
However, no sooner had he finished speaking than an unusual Chakra fluctuation suddenly appeared in the Eastward within his perception range.
"Is this the signal?"
He suddenly flew over.
He was high enough, at least a kilometer above the ground, that even the Ninja on the ground couldn't see him, let alone the ordinary people scattered around.
Having just arrived at a remote open space, they were surprised to find a man dressed very conservatively, covering himself up completely.
His exposed eyes gleamed with a lewd light as he glanced around.
In front of him stood five people, forming Pentagram Formation at the five corners.
"Hurry up! Once the Chakra fluctuations appear, Akane will definitely notice something's wrong! We'll be done for if they get here!"
The Daimyo of the Land of Wind hurriedly called out.
"Yes, Feudal Lord Daimyo!"
That's right, this man is the Daimyo of the Land of Wind.
Kanami had already appeared behind a tree dozens of meters away in the open space using the Flying Thunder God Technique.
His Flying Thunder God Mark is everywhere in Konoha.
The Daimyo of the Land of Wind thought he had found a very secluded open space.
In reality, for Kanami, this was essentially no different from his backyard.
The next second, the Pentagram Formation shone with golden light!
Suddenly, a Yellow-Brown Giant Snake, over a hundred meters long, emerged from it!
Its entire body is composed of Yellow Sand.
With its mouth wide open, it charged headlong towards the area with the highest concentration of Konoha Village!
Mifune, who was drinking tea, was suddenly startled. He stood up, Samurai Sword in hand, and stared wide-eyed at the enormous serpent in the sky. "This is... a signal?!"
