Feng An brought Orochimaru back to Konoha after learning Akatsuki and Ōnoki planned an attack, while Hinata revealed her Tenseigan to her family. As Konoha prepared for battle, Ōnoki and Nagato’s forces reached the village, and Feng An confronted them at the entrance.

• Orochimaru recognized Feng An’s Hashirama Cells and Sharingan, but Feng An explained the flaws in Impure World Reincarnation and warned that Akatsuki would soon seek Orochimaru’s help against Konoha.
• Feng An told Orochimaru that Akatsuki had gathered nearly ten thousand humanoid vessels and predicted that a masked man calling himself Madara Uchiha would approach him.
• Feng An brought Kurenai’s corpse home to keep Obito from recovering it, then Hinata used her Tenseigan to open a passage to the Moon so they could leave the body there.
• Feng An and Hinata visited Hyuga Hiashi, and Feng An revealed that Hinata had awakened the Tenseigan, which she demonstrated to her father.
• Orochimaru returned to Konoha and warned Tsunade that Akatsuki and Ōnoki planned to attack that day, so Tsunade allowed him to return under conditions and ordered the village to prepare.
• Elephant mobilized the Anbu and Hiashi summoned the Hyuga clan, while Ōnoki assembled Iwagakure and Cloud Village’s forces with Akatsuki for an assault on Konoha.
• Obito found Orochimaru’s base abandoned, while Ōnoki and Nagato led their forces to Konoha and encountered a barrier over the village.

Feng An and Hinata defeated Ōnoki’s army and Nagato’s Six Paths, then Feng An persuaded Nagato to abandon Madara’s plans and restore Akatsuki as Dusk. After Nagato gave Feng An his left Rinnegan, Kabuto found Jugo and Karin in Orochimaru’s ruined base and took them toward Cloud Village.

• Feng An and Hinata Hyuga devastated the Iwagakure forces with Wood Release and the Golden Wheel Reincarnation Explosion, while Ōnoki and the surviving Paths of Pain escaped.
• Feng An destroyed Nagato’s Planetary Devastation, found Nagato and Konan, and convinced Nagato that Madara planned to betray him and that the villages needed to unite.
• Nagato and Konan accompanied Feng An to Tsunade, where Feng An killed two ninjas who accused him and invited Kakashi and Might Guy to join his side.
• Ōnoki returned to Iwagakure as rumors spread that he had allied with Akatsuki, and he ordered bounties on the rogues spreading the story.
• Nagato and Konan chose to restore Akatsuki to Yahiko’s vision and named their new organization Dusk, while Nagato gave Feng An his left Rinnegan.
• Kabuto Yakushi found Jugo and Karin alive in Orochimaru’s ruined dungeon, subdued them, and forced them to accompany him toward Cloud Village.
• Kabuto’s White Snake killed a Cloud Village guard, and Kitsuchi ordered a messenger to drive the intruders out.

Kabuto Yakushi joined Obito Uchiha’s effort against Konoha after Orochimaru rejected him, while Itachi Uchiha sought to return to the village and Sasuke began training with Feng An. Itachi’s reunion with Sasuke ended in a fierce fight, and Sasuke pleaded with Feng An for help after losing to his brother.

• Kitsuchi’s expendable Cloud Village recruit abandoned his mission, while Kabuto Yakushi, Karin, and Jugo crossed the village and Kabuto confronted Obito Uchiha at the Akatsuki Organization Recruitment Office.
• Obito Uchiha and Kabuto Yakushi fought, then Obito manipulated Kabuto’s doubts about Orochimaru and offered him experimental subjects in exchange for using the Reanimation Jutsu against Konoha.
• Kabuto encountered Orochimaru, who invited him to Konoha, but Kabuto stabbed him and fled, and Obito later learned the Orochimaru was real and redirected Kabuto’s anger toward the village.
• Orochimaru brought Karin and Jugo into Konoha after subduing them, while Black Zetsu departed and revealed that he had manipulated Madara Uchiha by altering the Uchiha clan’s stone tablet.
• Itachi Uchiha asked Feng An to teach Sasuke and help arrange his return to Konoha, and Tsunade agreed to meet Itachi and allowed him to stay under surveillance while she investigated his account of the Uchiha massacre.
• Feng An trained Sasuke in Ninjutsu, but Sasuke’s desire to die with Itachi led Feng An to reject his requests for deadly techniques and eventually restrain him with a Wood Clone.
• Itachi told Sasuke that he was returning to Konoha and confessed that he had lied about their parents’ deaths, leaving Sasuke shaken as his Sharingan awakened into the Mangekyo Sharingan.
• Sasuke fought Itachi with Kirin, but Itachi blocked it with the Yata Mirror, and Tsunade ordered Itachi to accept Konoha missions, and Sasuke pleaded with Feng An for help after Feng An refused to kill Itachi.

Obito and Kabuto launched an assault on Konoha with reanimated shinobi and allied forces, but Feng An defeated their attacks and captured Obito. Obito confessed his role in Rin’s death and the Nine-Tails attack, while Kakashi urged him to return and atone.

• Hinata defeated Sasuke in a duel, and Feng An agreed to resume Sasuke’s training after their trip to the Land of Hot Water.
• Obito persuaded Ōnoki to join Akatsuki and worked with Kabuto to prepare reanimated shinobi for an assault on Konoha.
• Feng An defeated the Seven Ninja Swordsmen, captured Ōnoki with Tsunade’s forces, and used Kotoamatsukami to take Obito’s right Sharingan.
• Obito and Kabuto assembled an Allied Shinobi Force under Kitsuchi and led it toward Konoha, where Feng An and his Wood Clones fought the invasion and the reanimated shinobi.
• Feng An brought the reanimated Hizashi Hyuga to his family and used Kotoamatsukami to make him release the Reanimation Jutsu, truly reviving him.
• Feng An’s forces subdued the allied ninja, and Feng An captured Obito and brought Kakashi to confront him.
• Obito admitted that he had witnessed Rin’s death, controlled the Fourth Mizukage, prolonged the Bloody Mist, and caused the Nine-Tails attack that killed Minato Namikaze and Kushina Uzumaki.
• Kakashi urged Obito to return and atone, but Obito asked him to kill him, and Kakashi punched him for claiming their teacher and his wife as his alone.
