- Flowing Frost City — The Barte Lei family’s home city and Lei Wen’s place of origin. 1 94
- Jade Orchid City — A city associated with the Barte Lei family and later referenced as Lei Wen’s starting point. 1 51
- Demon Flag Mountain — A deep-jungle region inhabited by powerful magical beasts, including Ninth Rank and Saint Domain creatures. 16 33
- Dark Forest — A forbidden forest for humans and a sanctuary for Flagrant Beasts; the floating Infernal Castle lies at its deepest point. 49
- South Sea / Four Gods’ Burial Ground — An island shrouded in mist in the South Sea contains the multi-level Four Gods’ Burial Ground. 97
Planar Status
- The plane is described as a “backyard” of the chief gods. Aside from them, only a small number of lesser gods, Plane Guardians, imprisoned experts, and hidden god-level beings remain active. 33
- Its sea regions reportedly contain no god-level experts, allowing a Saint Domain expert such as Lei Wen to operate there without facing divine opposition. 33
- Saint Domain experts are formidable by mortal standards but remain insignificant before god-level beings. 7
- The plane possesses planar teleportation facilities connecting it to Hell; travel from the plane to Hell is facilitated by Plane Guardian Hodan. 54
- Prefecture Lords and higher-ranking figures may use planar teleportation altars to return to the plane under a Chief God’s tacit approval. 93
Society and Cultivation
- The plane contains institutions and power structures including the Light Church, Dark Church, Four Great Empires, Magic Academies, noble families, and warrior and mage cultivation systems. 1
- Magical aptitude is evaluated through elemental affinity, spiritual power, and Divine Power tests. Exceptional results can dramatically elevate a family’s social standing. 2 7
- Ordinary Spirit Qi manuals with a single elemental attribute generally cap at the Seventh or Eighth Rank Warrior level; multi-attribute manuals can support cultivation to the Saint Domain. 4
- Purple Thorn City demonstrates the disparity between major urban centers and smaller settlements such as Flowing Frost City, with numerous high-level warriors present in the larger city. 9
History
Lei Wen was born and raised on the plane during Jade Tomb Year 9950. At that time, he recognized it as a world of gods and demons and understood that major future events would unfold there decades later. 1
After reaching the Middle God stage, Lei Wen concluded that the material plane could no longer provide the resources or freedom needed for his Devourer’s Form. He departed through the Arctic Icefield’s planar array and entered Hell. 52 54
Eight hundred years later, Lei Wen returned from Hell as a Great Circle expert. His divine sense covered the entire continent, allowing him to locate Flowing Frost City, Demon Flag Mountain, and the Dark Forest immediately. 94
During Raven’s later cultivation, the plane became the destination for enormous shipments of divine beast corpses collected across the Divine Planes. Raven devoured the corpses and their law fragments within a secret chamber, repeatedly triggering descents of the Laws of Heaven and Earth over the Yulan Plane. 161 163
The systematic slaughter and collection of divine beasts across multiple planes eventually made the Yulan Plane the center of a prolonged cultivation campaign, while other Sovereigns grew alarmed at Raven’s expanding power. 163
