Delayed Gū

Late update.

Gu Mian and Mr. Green saw the drop tower in the distance suddenly stop.

It didn't stay stopped for long. When the ride started up again and rose into the sky, Gu Mian saw that there seemed to be someone new on it.

Xiao Qiao had probably found herself a new source of entertainment.

Just then, Fatty sent a message in the group chat.

[Fatty]: Doctor, why aren't you back yet? Miss 007's already returned to the apartment. She even brought back the Upper Class person you rescued.

007 and Louis had already returned? No wonder Gu Mian couldn't find them outside.

He stopped looking and headed toward the apartment.

After taking a couple of steps, he suddenly remembered Mr. Green behind him. Turning back, he asked, "Are you coming with me?"

Mr. Green had no other choice. He could only follow Gu Mian away, tears in his eyes.

By the time they got back to the apartment, it was already dusk.

Fatty was standing by the entrance, looking around. As soon as he spotted Gu Mian, he happily jogged over. "Doctor, you're finally back!"

Then he noticed the two people following Gu Mian.

One was a little green man, and the other was a little red man.

The little red man was Little Red, no doubt. But the little green man...

"Why is Mr. Green still here?" Fatty stared in surprise at Mr. Green's dejected face.

Mr. Green glumly glanced up at Fatty. He didn't dare blame Gu Mian for bringing him back, so he took his anger out on the Upper Class instead. "It's all the fault of those damn Upper Class people."

He'd been so close to escaping, but some meddlesome Upper Class person had caught him!
