Louis shook his head. "I know the idol in that underground cavern holds many secrets, but only the highest-ranking Upper Class members can access them. That cavern... is guarded by one of the founders, and no one is allowed near it under normal circumstances."
Gu Mian watched the candle flame flicker on the table. It seemed Louis didn't know the statue could grant wishes, either. There was no point asking him about it.

Just as his temples were pounding, there came a loud bang from the front door.
