Vashtor should have been eager to attack, but the Daemon of Chaos was taking his time, as if he were deliberately stalling.

The Lion couldn't figure it out. He looked up at Vashtor's hateful, mocking smirk, and his anger grew.
"What are you thinking about?"
Vashtor continued taunting him.
The Lion said nothing. He swung his sword in a horizontal slash.
The strike looked plain and simple, but it carried the force of a thunderbolt. The blade swept up a storm and carved a piercing streak through the air.
