Background / History

The Nine Saints Devil Master once stood among the Devil Realm's most feared Devil Lords. During an attempt to enter the Immortal King Realm nearly ten thousand years earlier, the Devil Master fell and split into nine primordial souls. The nine great marshals and their factions each supported one fragment, while the fragments themselves instinctively sought to devour one another and reunite. 79 147

One primordial soul was nurtured for three hundred years inside a Devil Master Iron Coffin beneath the Supreme Being Graveyard. Ming Tianbei oversaw the revival, but Devil Guard Can Ge located the chamber on behalf of Marshal Jing Mie's faction. The newborn soul escaped with Ming Tianbei and entered Li Fan's small mountain village. 77 79 80

Li Fan gave the little girl the name Xin Ning, telling her to begin anew rather than remain bound to her past. Can Ge was annihilated when he approached Li Fan's courtyard, convincing Ming Tianbei that Xin Ning had gained the protection of an incomprehensibly powerful existence. 81

Xin Ning subsequently used a dispersed primordial soul as bait, trapping and absorbing rival fragments that came to the village. After gathering five souls, she reached the sixth heaven of the Great Luo Golden Devil Realm, accepted several powerful Devil Cult figures as subordinates, and defeated Devil Commander Blood Halberd in a direct duel. 148 149

During the Yin Yang Devil Furnace crisis, Xin Ning appeared as a Devil Spirit and devoured the Extinguishing Yin Devil Emperor, then restrained the two remaining Devil Emperors. 404

In the Devil Wasteland, Xin Ning solved the ultimate demonic codex, releasing the obsession and vengeful spirit trapped within it. The codex's vast Devilish Dao knowledge was transferred into the Heavenly Devil King's and Devil Ancestor's minds instead. 893

Others later identified Xin Ning as the reincarnated Devil Fiend. The prior Devil Fiend's evil corpse remained active separately, and Xin Ning protected it during the conflict with Gray Mist Sea experts. 887 897

Devil Fiend's Past Life

The Devil Fiend was born amid the devastation of the Devil Race and raised by the Worship Fiend Tribe as its hoped-for savior. Tribe King Mo Qi protected her, eventually sacrificing himself during a human attack so that she could survive. 1259

After Mo Qi's death, the Devil Fiend embraced the burden of reviving the Devil Race. She killed the human expert Yang Yuanji, defeated numerous human and Devil Race powers, led an army through three hundred human cities, and became revered as the Devil Venerable before reaching Supreme Being status. 1259

Despite her reputation, she states that she never liked bloodshed. She enjoyed fishing, gathering honey, catching loaches, and raising goldfish; her memory of these peaceful interests was preserved by a mysterious “Big Brother” who taught her kindness and promised to teach her literature and poetry. 891
